Yes...I remember a more vibrant set of forums too.I came to Renderosity as a refugee from the wonderful 3d Commune when it went bankrupt in 2009, and found a very warm welcome here. At the time, I was doing lots of Bryce and I didn't have or used Poser. Posted lots of Bryce images back then, loved to read the comments and to give comments to others. Then, as I was learning modeling, the art creation and the gallery browsing took the back seat. Now, I hardly render nothing but promos for my models, and I had to learn some Poser too. So, I keep on adding retro sci- fi content for Poser now... I am not leaving for DAZ anytime soon!
And yes, Penguinisto, I also miss terribly several good friends, already departed...Sigh.
Have a great week, guys!
Gabe

Thread: Honestly, what do YOU think of AI "art" | Forum: The Break Room
I also have tried Stable difussion, at least to give it a try. Poor results, some downright gruesome. Its all about the prompt.
But I don't consider AI graphics an art form.
BTW, I loved the answers some of you gave to the AI "'artist"'... Well said!

Hello, Brycers. Bryce dead? No sirre. I have taken pains to make a Bryce version of about every 3d model I sell here... I model now in 3d max, but when I have finished a model, or sometimes half way, I import it into Bryce and I take a render there. At the end, there will be always an obp.version of that model, with families assigned, etc. My best promo renders always come from Bryce.I find it as useful as ever, and I dont give a fig about those that will lift their noses in contempt at me when I say it !:) I use version 5 and 7 both.

Thread: PP2014 Joint Editor / Rigging Help | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks, Gate. When I open my car as a saved Poser prop, opening the group tool I get a list of all the parts of the model (named in 3d max), including the ones I wish to rig. So, avoid spaces in the names...:) I will be coming back to read this thread many times, lol! If you see my store, you will see what I am after..so far I can only offer rigid Poser Props. Thanks, Glen, for opening this cool thread.

Good info here, thanks! I also have been trying to rig my cars for Poser, but unsure how to go about it. I will try the separate import of the pieces.:)

Thread: Is Bryce dying? | Forum: Bryce
I will continue using it even if it means to have a separate computer for it..! I always test al my models in Bryce, the way it renders metals and glass just like that... Bryce is definetly not dead for me! And I will carry on making Bryce content for the store!

Thread: An idea we may want to consider | Forum: Bryce
I am still providing hi poly vehicle models for Bryce in my store, (some of them rigged a la Bryce) , albeit I build them in 3dmax. But before that I endeavoured the boolean modeling and metaball modeling methods. Animating in Bryce is fun too..here is a little example. It starts at 0:29, previous sequences are 3dmax. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SupLPOEOPDA
