ok, i made this in 2006 on the old computer and cleaned it up last year.

the background is my cognito painting (which is in my gallery) and the foreground is a photo i took and composited/cloned in in ulead. it was for a contest in a doll group back then. it did not win but people liked it :)
i will try to make something new but i thought i'd share this for now. :)

had it been me i'd have asked the artist if i could use the image with their name in the credits. that way i would not 'lose' the image and in theory nobody would get hurt. but it happens that something gets copied, or near copied by accident (look at the music industry) and the person has no clue it even happened.
it is good to see that this type of thing can be handled civilly on a public forum.
otoh, i wish we could have seen the image in question to get some idea of what happened and how. also, i'm always sorry when i hear anybody deleted their art. not sure why, but i had the same reaction in school if a classmate crumpled up a drawing... i'm just that way...

any clue if it will be on sale? is that a you can use a voucher on it type thing? (shadow has his rebate voucher and actually has 7 bucks left on it plus he gets 5 on the first so... if it is out by july 2 he may want it... is it for aiko?

that is neat about the contest :) there are sooooo many artists who do frazetta type stuff. some of them are great. be neat to hear his opinion. is he painting as well?

you did not want the item! it was (old/moldy/the wrong size or color/incompatible and your spouse/kids/pets would hate it!

translation: if it were the right thing you would have gotten it. why would anybody tell you you cannot DOWNLOAD if you are in a forgeign country??? shipping is one thing (customs) but a download?

you don't want to deal with that site (and neither do i, trust me. i love to grrr at them but i don't know where they live).

shame on them and i'm sorry they rejected you. you will find a better one!

as an artist: nothing is truly 'free'. somebody spent the time creating that 'freebie'. somebody thought it up and designed it and then made it work and put it where the universe could get it.
one should NEVER just snatch something without thanking the artist! this is as bad as kids snatching candy trick-or-treating and not saying thank you.

if you ever want more freebies thank the ones who make them and give them a reason to want to make more :)

the last freebie of the week was this sci-fi kiosk type bus stop, except not for a bus, like a bus stop... only in space... go look. it is kinda neat :)

that is a neat model. it reminds me of the mission in santa cruz and the petaluma adobe, sort of... similar type structures. looks very real. good job and it was nice of you to make it :)

ok, help me out here, please. i am making something as a 2d freebie for a contest. the rules are for my freebie to count it has to be hosted somewhere before i post my art entry that contains it. does rendo host freebies or do i need to host it somewhere else and just post a link to it here? not saying i have to announce it here for it to count on the daz contest but if rendo hosts freebies i'd want to put it here...
did this make sense? i'm not a seller and i don't render. i just do 2d and mixed medium art...

oh, and i find it funny when i thanked someone for leaving a comment i got a 'somebody left you a comment' notice... from ME, lol.
