Thanks guys, That was exactly what I was looking for. Good links too. I looked over the morph world tutorials section and it looks like I'll have to spend a day going through them :). Underdog's onlin lip sync utility does look pretty damn spiffy. Both sites were quickly added to my bookmarks.

I guess I should expand on that last part a little more. I meant that instead of using the geometry as the base for the figure. Taking one of the stock figures and then using the geometry to create a whole body morph for the stock figure.

thanks for the reply, I had had some doubts that any of the cr2's I had were close enough to do the trick but it turns out the problems I was having trying to do it at first were due to something else. I was hoping there was a reasonable way to create a character from an obj inate in poser but after reading about creating an heir file and joint paramaters I found a cr2 that worked. I really need to get power pack soon :)

Find the obj for the charcter you want to dress and import it into your 3d modeling program. If you are using a character that is morphed so that it doesn't match the obj it's created from you will need to export it from poser and then replace the model from the orinal obj with it so that it's aligned in the same location as the original in your modeling program. Then model the clothes around it and delete the character. The tutorials will tell you the rest about how to get it into poser. I told you all this cause I've found that no matter how perfectly the clothes fit if they don't line up with your character without moving them..they won't conform well.
