So, I downgraded to Windows 10 (reinstall) but installed no drivers from Asus. Then, I updated and did the same, no drivers from Asus. And now it works perfectly fine... I really don't know what is it tbh...

leomon32 posted at 9:19 PM Sun, 3 December 2023 - #4478565I noticed that Windows 11 came with a bunch of upgrades in that department. I guess I could uninstall them and check if it's still running afterward.
Leave the Windows Updates as they are. If you uninstall any of them (some don't give you an uninstall option) ... Windows will always install the latest version available for its libraries by itself. You can't win this fight! lol
What I was trying to suggest is: download and install .NET 3.5 Framework. Windows 11 has no use for it, it's deadwood. But other older programs seek and expect to find this version installed. This means the newer version of .NET Framework is not backwards compatible... or not fully compatible. New libraries with new sets of instructions which the old 3D programs don't understand and don't know how to deal with.
So I tested further, Poser 11 and 12 have the same issues, flashing
windows, noticeable when you go on the options. If you use compatible
mode, the software is painfully slow. On the 13, it does work but it's
way way slower than 11, painfully long to open pzz files and
poses/models. I'm REALLY lost...

I noticed that Windows 11 came with a bunch of upgrades in that department. I guess I could uninstall them and check if it's still running afterward.Something makes Poser lag. I forgot what the 3D preview modes are for Poser. It could be .NET Framework compatibility. You got .NET Framework installed, right? I mean it comes with Windows Updates. You may need to install an additional, older version of .NET Framework as well.

I tried to uninstall my Nvidia (so the laptop was running solely on the chipset) but the problem remain the same. I tried disable variable screen refresh and all the options which come for Windows 11, no luck. I tried a fresh install, same.It possibly can be video card drivers. I am aware that the NVidia game drivers can cause issues with the latest iterations of Poser. You may want to check into that aspect of your problem and either rollback or reinstall those drivers.

So in compatibility mode, it does work but everything seems very slow, like the library open but nothing appears while if I disable the compatibility mode, it's way more faster (but menus flash to the desktop and windows flash back and force).I would insist on running it in Compatibility Mode... make it compatible with Windows 7, and try a different preview mode in Poser. Also make sure Windows 11 is not running in a resolution higher than 1080p. Poser preview may not be able to adapt to any 2K or 4K resolutions your Windows is running on. That's why the window flashes, the Task Manager is trying to tell you: "Hold on, I'm not done doing whatever I was doing! I cannot take on any other task til this one is done."
