Well the reason you cant see seom thing before rendered is that the normals arnt all facing out. And when you render it you have render both sides on so it goes away. I dont use pose though so not sure if this is the problem.

Yep im a fan of it. Not that good in 3d stuff though. can model okay (non organics) and texture okay but thats about it.
