Thread: Anyone else a Groboto-Bot? | Forum: Bryce
I did buy it, but after a couple of tries I left it it sitting until I buy a bigger computer. I'm not sure if everything is alright with my machine (G4 MDD 2x1), but while Groboto worked, it was SILLY slow. I do dig the outlines, though (nice and neat, esp. compared to Poser's uselessness). Woah, I'm full of opinions today :)
Thread: Boy, is it dying here | Forum: Bryce
If you take the headline of this thread from a Buddhist POV, it doesn't sound so bad. Or so I would imagine. :) Funny thing how talking about the weather always was instead of talking about difficult subjects. What it is this winter, well, it's hard to say. I've going to Renderosity for some years now, but almost only lurking. It's real easy to feel insignificant. I can't understand how the big cats get so many renders and posts done. Oh wait, maybe you're on this 36-hour clock I've heard so much about?
Thread: Bryce 6 - HDRI S.O.W.! | Forum: Bryce
Ahahaha! I say yay. Very nice colors n' composition there Smith, but then again, I think by now, you just have all but forgot how to make an ugly image. I saw you guys talking yesterday, but I wasn't expecting Daz to make good on their promise. Such great guys. I'm like a newborn, all wet and screaming.
Thread: GIRL 3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I'll be damned. Thank you Stahlratte, you secret magic helper you. I will put her to use soon as I get my machine working. When I started up Poser yesterday, it told me "One or more textures are missing or can't be read." Then it crashed back to sleep. Guess it's Reinstallation Time. Guys, the images in this thread. I thought I had grown beyond obsessing over digital women, but now, something happens to my tongue. leaves to get a napkin

Just fell in through the door, and damn this is exciting stuff. May I take part in the revelling, possibly? Kind mr. Rat? I love the Girl.
Thread: Printing Problems With Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've experienced similar trouble. Converting the RGB image from Poser to printable CMYK, I find that the histograms of each channel has bad ranges. If you know what I mean. E g., the green channel runs from 1, but not to 255 - it makes an steep peak and then an abrupt halt at around 160. The blue and red channels are the same, on other levels of the scale. So, color mode conversion don't help - the scale in each color channel doesn't spread over the whole range. There seems to be some shortcomings in the rendering. ... or maybe I used bad lighting. :)
Thread: Greater Realism - Final Frontier? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Guys just like porn, I guess. So it's not really realism, only more believable love dolls. Wouldn't it be cool though, say, if Poser were to have a "Perspiration dial" based on some simple formula of areas were the human body sweats the most? But then again, sweat is considered unhealthy - pin-upwise.
Thread: [OT] does anyone know what's happened to Kai Krause? | Forum: Bryce
Yes, I tried it. It's really weird, which I like. MetaSynth does have an almost Photoshop-like feel of infinite combinations through all the filters and thingies. Has got a knack for crashing, though. Yup, Krause is hiding in Germany. What's he building in there, he won't say.

Thread: How to fix those flesh patches showing under the clothes? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is exactly what I've been struggling with. Aw, the lousy conformity. So far it has never worked for me. Guys, isn't there more foolproof, numerical ways to get the clothing to move right on top of the skin? I'm trying to learn this right now, and so far my leads are: 1. The simple, visual method. Making parts invisible. Sure, works for stills. I am, ahem, attempting an entire animation. (If only I'd known the trouble..) 2. Tailor? I understand it's still PC only, but it seems to fix this, although some users disregard it completely. 3. Poser 5. Just read it has Depth Of Collision Something. Yes, that would probably do the trick. Not Mac yet. Aww. 4. Editing cr2 files. Or am I way off on this? So far it seems there's some mystical way to apply the geometry of the body figure to the clothing figure. But as I said, I'm still trying to fathom the whole bottomless sea of possibilities here. Any comments on this investigation would be nice. Am I on to something or did I get it all wrong?
