Thread: Just for fun.....how do you Vue ?? | Forum: Vue
Gillbrooks, you have a good eye. That is indeed this forum page on my monitor. Reading it was what prompted me to take the shot. *D
Artpearl, that is a lovely view from your window.
Thread: Will upgrade to XP 64 bit and 8 gigs of RAM help Vue much? | Forum: Vue
In switching to 64-bit XP to run Vue, I was prepared to throw just about all my older apps under the bus.

To my delight, the ONLY issue I had with an older program was with PBoost, the Poser library utility. Fortunately the vendor, Hogwarden, was very responsive, and subsequently issued a patch that cleared everything up.
Try to score a copy of XP Pro 64 before they disappear, as Microsoft has officially abandoned XP as a product. My hope is that by the time XP is ready to be retired, there'll be a mature open-source OS that can run Windows.

This is a music studio, too, but I did away with all external gear other than an interface box and percussion and key controllers (Thank gawd for loops and VST instruments). I don't miss the days of miking drum kits, calibrating tape machines and hand-splicing 1/4" tape.
As a drummer, I tend to program most of my rhythm guitars, but should I get stuck, I'm fortunate to have some good guitarist friends who are willing to e-mail me real tracks. I love the net for working collaboratively!
That's Princess Magoo under the throne.
Have to agree that Wabe's place owns those of us mere mortals, but we soldier on! *D
Thread: Would you have the patience?? | Forum: Vue
I can't imagine a scene I could build that would require such a commitment, but I admire I the image AND the epic render time. lol.

Thread: Poser Imports Scale | Forum: Vue
Have you tried to import with Vue's autoscale turned off? You can always manually rescale an object later,  based on context and what looks right.

Bobbystahr, my mom was (is) Helen Hutchinson of W5 fame, but you have a good memory. Barbara was a friend of the family, but her offspring, David Frum, unfortunately went on to become am American Fascist. lol.
Peace

If one is uncomfortable with the term, "Artist," one could always call oneself a "CG Visualiser" or some such. My mother was the first national anchorwoman on Canadian television, but never once called herself a "Journalist." She preferred the term, "Broadcaster," which she felt was more accurate and less pretentious. Whatever floats one's boat, I say. I would hope that the primary motivation for anyone here is to make pictures to please themselves first. Anyone who wants a job where the customer is always wrong should become a cop. ;D
Peace, all.

Right on. If you one likes to make arts or crafts of any kind, amateur dabbling is just as valid as serious professionalism. It's only a matter of degree.
