I replaced TPkd.sys version 4.1.1.1047 with version 3.0.7.480 to get my patched Poser 5 running on my Windows 2000 system (see thread http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=898029&Reply=898768#27).
My configuration:
Intel Board with Pentium III, 866 Mhz
256 MB RAM
Windows 2000, service pack 3
Windows Media Player 7.01
HP Printer PSC 500
Compaq IPAQ cradle on USB
Logitech QuickCam on USB
Bluetooth BT500 (version 1.3.5 Widcomm Inc) on USB
I replaced CD Creator a few months ago by HP RecordNow.
AvatarLab was installed on my computer.

Thread: Question to CL about P5 original, patches, and protection | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I reported about a freezing problem after applying the SR1 patch. Now I replaced the TPkd.sys file 4.1.1.1074 version with the 3.0.7.840 in my main WinK2 partition and, oh wonder, Poser5 and AvatarLab are running again. TPkd.sys is an Interlok system file Anti-Piracy from PACE. Both Poser5 and Avatarlab use the same registration procedure and in my case it's evident that the freezing problem was caused by the protection mecanism.

I checked TPkd.sys on my system. It's an Interlok system file Anti-Piracy from PACE. Both Poser5 and Avatarlab use the same registration procedure and both programs have problems. I guess they are related to this file.
The TPkd.sys version in my old WinK2 partition is 4.1.1.1074, in the new one 3.0.7.840. Don't ask me why these versions are different, I used the same CD and patches to install Poser 5 on both partitions.
I now replaced the 4.1.1.1074 version with the 3.0.7.840 in my main WinK2 partition and, oh wonder, Poser5 and AvatarLab are now running. It was not a problem of the registry.
I have put the 3.0.7.840 TPkd.sys version on my website
http://www.saraproft.lu/download/TPkd.sys
to help other users who experienced the same problem (hi Buck). I hope that this support will not violate any copyright.

Thank you so far for your comments and helps. I mailed a bug report to CL tech support. Reply to Buck: I used the full patch.exe file. The problem seems not been related to the two-part version of the patch.

Congratulations to all the artists presented in the book from Julius Wiedemann. I got my exemplar from Amazon a few days ago. It's worth the money.

It looks like an AvatarLab figure. If it is the case, you have to check the copyright rules.
Thread: Avatar Lab- it's live and available for download! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello Tori,
yes my order passed after changing the shipment to USP domestic ! The download worked fine (about 1 hour for 22,5 Mbyte). The program is now installed on my windows 2000 system and runs. It's a funny program, my first export of an avatar to Poser Propack was succesful, with some curious behavior of the animations. I have to check this point.
Your registration and unlocking procedure is very special. My guess is that you will get some complaints from users which experience technical problems related to proxis, firewalls or virus scanners. The use of the challenge and the response code is not clear, but it was not requested during the online registration and unlocking procedure.
kind regards

Hello Steve,
I am convinced and AvatarLab is in my caddy, but
there seems to be a problem in your store.
I get the error message that the product can not be shipped and billed to my country (Luxembourg) on the order confirmation page.
I will try now without entering my address.
kind regards

I read a few days ago an announcement of Steve Cooper in the Adobe Atmosphere User Forum about a new product to create avatars for 3D worlds. I'm sure this will be the great news.

try to set the axis of the fingers in the right direction, this should help. mapping the Credo default fingers joint to groups of Michael finger1-finger2-finger3 spreads the motion.

I understand what you are trying to say. My preceding message and my test animation in the Freestuff pose section describes how to animate two mimic characters in one Poser window. Marco Barnig
