Quote - Thanks RHaseltine; you are getting along the lines of what we are after... Basically for now we are looking to make and store our own pre-morphed characters, and such for ourselves, but as we expand our portfolios out we would like to start offering ready made character morphs back to the community, along with skins and mats that can be applied to say M4, V4, or A4, along the lines of the Andrea V4.2 from Syltermermaid in the freebie area and so on...
I knew it had to be possible as I have seen character packs released for even the A3 LE base. Would be nice to do now, but better to start small and expand on things instead of trying to do everything at once... Katrina is a wiz with graphics, especially doing things like clothes and skins for SL even though she won't admit to it, and I know my way around Autocad, and am working on programs like Blender, and Rhino, as well as potentially Catia as I can get access to them, so down the road alot is possible, but we need to get our proverbial feet wet first and get our names out there...
So much to learn and experiment with... G Every little bit of info and knowledge plays a role in things... One never stops learning if they are smart.
If you'd like to make some custom morphs, select a body group from the scene tab, say chest, for instance, then create a new D-Former with that group selected and it will apply there. Moving the field around changes which vertices of the mesh are affected, the easiest way to think of the base is as a sort of rotation pivot like you'd have rotating a selection in Photochop or Gimp and then adjustments to the D-former itself as a child of the base will deform the mesh. Mess around with it and then you can go back to the D-form tab and spawn a morph to the figure. Otherwise, you can export the figure or a body part as an object, mess around with it in your prefered 3d editor and then import it with the Morph Loader.
Mess around with that all and just save the figure as a scene or export 'back-up' .objs you can load in again through morph loader for now. As far as .cr2s go, I really have no clue what I'm doing with them anymore, heehee. The new .cr2 export in D|S doesn't saves morphs loaded with morph loader unless you buy the big expensive toolset and DeltaX15's excellent .cr2 exporter doesn't play with some of the Gen 4's morphs all that well. Also, the Gen 4 figures have some -major- scaling issues that will break the figure in .cr2 exports making anime style characters pretty hard to do anything with outside of D|S itself.

By the way, there is now a great toon shader plug-in available for D|S, pwtoon, for those who disliked the standard D|S Toon rendrs.
Also a rigging plug-in is now being tested and a couple of merchants have said they're already using it for their products.
