The old Marketplace was the best of all of them, so why copy the much inferior RDNA marketplace. One thing that was unique about the old Marketplace, was that you could always tell what you had previously purchased on the catalogue page and the old Marketplace would never let you buy the same thing twice by mistake. The new one does. The old Marketplace was better and Renderosity would be smart to bring it back.
Thread: Basic figure setup in 118 Stages . :) An overview for figure makers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Novice: 4 days per stage Intermmediate: 3 days per stage Advanced: 1-2 days per stage So you are saying it takes 118 * 3 days to create a model for an intermediate? If so, we need some better tools.
Thread: Backgrounds using the one sided square technique | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The reason is that import background does not work too well if you are rendering images larger than the workspace. Poser first scales the image to fit the workspace then recales it up to fit the rendered image size, thus losing the resolution of the original image. If you make a square prop, that problem is avoided.

If you don't want shadows or lighting to affect the background use ambient node instead of diffuse. I don't use P5 or P6, but in PP I set ambient to white and diffuse to black to stop shadows from appearing on the backdrop.
Thread: Luvv1.5 and OBJ2Cob - can't get the textures or material in Truespace!?!?! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
All black materials may be caused by lack of memory in trueSpace. If you have a lot of very high res textures, try reducing the texture image size.

I tried the script last night and it worked great. Thanks much. This is sure to be a great timesaver.

Most of the megaionstorm morphs that I have do not have the multiple versions like the BillyT swimsuit one obviously does. What I have seen mostly is just the standard morph name and possibly one with pbm as prefix. Probably could have a very useful script that didn't bother with the alternative morphs like you mentioned. Anyways thanks a lot, and I hope you see something positive in this. If megaionstorm's sales are high there could be a lot of people who could use this script.
Thread: Is there a clothes fitting script? | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
I tried the script and it seems to work, but I really need the lower level morphs. I loaded V3 and added some FBM's. I then activated the script and loaded some clothing that also had the same FBM's (V3 bikini). The bikini acquired the same morphs. I believe that it does this already though due to cross talk. What I really need is for when there is no morph at the body level to propagate the target body morph down to the individual parts of the clothing that have the same morph. I really appreciate your efforts and think maybe you should contact Megaionstorm as well because this script could greatly enhance his products.

Thread: Looking for GREAT skin textures. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have had no problem recreating Eden or Jose screen shots in Poser Pro Pack. These are some of the best texture sets available. Jose in particular is amazingly realistic. I think you need help with your technique. The products are not deffective nor is there any false advertising involved. The problem is with rendering 300 pixel high renders. Any skin will have a loss of detail at that resolution. Even real skin in a photograph. At that resolution lighting will be more important than texture.

Here is a snippet from his readme:
Example: Breastsize5 = 0.75
Set the dial value from the lcollar/breastsize5, rcollar/breastsize5,
chest/pbmbreastsize5_lc and chest/pbmbreastsize5_rc to the same value as you used in
your character.
Why must i set the pbm-morphs too ?
The influence reaches from the collars into the chest !
Example: You used barbarian1 = 0.5 and muscular2 = 1 in your character
It's necessary that you set all barbarian1 morph dials in the different clothing
parts to 0.5 and all muscular2 morph dials to 1.
It's not necessary to set the pbm-morphs too !
I hope you understand the different between situation 1) and 2) !

Thread: Is My Hair Model Too Complicated For The Market ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Here's an idea. Why not put the base hair in free stuff and sell additional texture maps and poses as an addon package. That way people can see if they can handle it on their computers before they buy the addon package. If people like it, I am sure they will likely buy the additional textures and poses. Otherwise you may risk a lot of unhappy customers whose computers are not up to the challenge.
Thread: Question for buyers about payment types | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
I am not saying everyone has a problem with PayPal. Obviously they wouldn't be in business if that was true. However if you are a merchant trying to maximize sales, you only hurt yourself by making PayPal your only payment option. I have used PayPal in the past, but lately it doesn't seem to work too well for me. Every time I try to use it, I have to reverify my bank account for some reason. This is not convenient as is using a credit card. Also there will be a lot of people that don't trust PayPal or won't go through the trouble of setting up a PayPal account. That hurts business, not helps it. It doesn't matter that some people have no problems with PayPal, limiting your options in billing will only lower your sales in the long run.
