Lee, I think your Dusk looks great. I wish he had a Narrow Waist morph; I made a mention of that during the recent dial spin contest.
Hi mmalbert! I've done several iterations of my narrow hip morph and finally created an inject morph. It works well on Dusk and am pretty happy with it.
However, there's a better solution for getting Dusk some additional shaping morphs. I decided to load the base Dusk SE into Poser and injected Dawn's various morph injection files into him. Then I decided which morphs I wanted to keep (and that worked well) for Dusk and exported morph injection files for him. Now I have Dawn's excellent hip/waist morphs for Dusk and they work fantastically well. So happy with the results.
Here's a render with Dusk that has some of Dawn's morphs dialed in.
Lee
Thanks, Lee! I haven't tried the DS way of doing this, but I should give it a try. I converted a bunch of free Dawn morphs for use with Dusk, so I could go through a grab some of the Dawn ones that I think would be useful for Dusk. He's missing a few standard ones that she has.
Going to add this to my way too long To Do List.
BTW, that's a lovely render of Dusk. Glad to see him getting a little love too.
Hornet3d, thanks for the info on the texture you used on your character. I actually have that resource in my wishlist; one of these days I'll get around to picking it up. :) I have Oriana too. Her morphs don't work in DS but the textures were easy to convert over.

I am enjoying so much seeing what people are doing with the HW figures and animals. It is absolutely inspiring.
Thank you again, Miss B! :)
Lovely work, Satira. You have such a distinct style and I especially like the whimsical feel of the characters. I also really like the Woman in Veil.
Rae_Designs, I wish there was an easy way to make my morphs available to everyone. I keep hoping some enterprising soul will figure out a way to make it possible to swap dial parameters between the two programs. I've put up a few of those as freebies but they're for DS users only, I'm afraid. (oh, and that brain on the floor, lol!)
Hornet3d, what skin are you using for your attractive, slightly older character?

Hope to see more pretty pictures, please!

I'm a dedicated dial spinner, and though I only use DAZ Studio I'm posting a bunch of dial characters created with the Hivewire morphs sets that are available in BOTH DAZ Studio and Poser formats. It's true the HW figures don't have as many morph options as the old Generation 4 (V4/M4 etc) did, but you can still get a lot of "character" out of what is available.
All these were made with various combinations of Dawn's Starter Morphs, Dawn's Head Shapes, the Head Morph Resource Kit for Dawn, and Dawn's Creature Heads. Again, all available at the Hivewire store in both DS and Poser formats.
Folks might not care for my aesthetics -- I'm drawn to strong or striking faces rather than conventionally pretty ones -- but hopefully they'll show some of the potential variety available.
First off, the default starter base for the purposes of comparisons:
Carmen:
Carol -- this one originally made use of some free DS-only morphs, which I removed, and then I added in a bit of standard NoseSlope:
Dina, my attempt at a Native American woman:
A slightly creepy fae, which uses a bit of the creature head morphs:
Jayne, who also uses a bit of creature morph dials:

Lyne makes a good point about the HiveWire figures. I don't know why the Poser community didn't more fully embrace them.
To be honest, there's an actual answer to that. But the answer would surely cause fights and be against the TOS. But simply, no they're not the same, so there's been no push by customers to invest in them. But I've seen 2 major pushes by this store to release that content for those figures, but looking at the "what's hot" during that time, the sales weren't there to support vendors doing more content.
I didn't say these figures were the same.
I said: "I use Dawn, Dusk, and Luna frequently and find them as serviceable as any of the Genesis figures. There are differences, some pros-and-cons, but they're solid figures with a dedicated team behind them."
At this point I don't expect support for Dawn and Dusk -- outside of HW itself -- to improve. And I still think that's too bad, because they're decent figures.

I've been working with DS since 2007 -- I have Poser 10, but can't seem to get the hang of it -- and use all the figures I have, from M4/V4 to the current Genesis 8. I even broke out M3 not too long ago.

I did a Sofia Boutella one for V4: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/nunzia-v4---dial-morph-character/77736
You'd need Morphia, Morphs ++, and DieTrying's free morph set.

I'd like to see the pages come back as well.
As a DAZ Studio user, most products I buy here don't come with DS-compatible materials. That's fine; I'm used to making my own. But while I might immediately install my purchases, I don't always make DS materials for them right away.
I use the store's promo images as a guideline when I make my materials, comparing what I've done to the vendor's previews to see if I'm at least in the ball park. If those images are gone, I can't do that, and this makes me a little grumpy.
I've gotten into the habit of downloading the main promo image for each purchase, for my DIY content management system, but some products have many extra props and/or options and I'd rather not have to download every promo image.

Another DS-only user here, and I'm working with Gen4 figures and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
I'd love a return to the general cross-platform compatibility that existed before Genesis. I know some things -- dynamics, shaders -- don't translate from one to the other, but as long as I could get most of what I bought to work in DS, I was good to go.
I use texture/clothing converters and make my own materials from Poser-specific products, so the minor obstacles of compatibility or obsolescence were never much of an issue for me. But I was as frustrated and disappointed as many Poser users when several of my favorite vendors began creating clothing and hair (and even props!) that I could not use and could not even get into a converter.
Anyway, it would be lovely if I could use my existing Gen4 content with the newer figure(s), but I'm not expecting miracles.
Lots of morph capabilities -- and a commitment to a male figure -- will get me to buy content. I make my own characters, so the only draw for me of texture sets is the skin and its options. A half dozen pretty white girls with lots of make up will meet my needs. After that, I get picky about what I buy.
I wasn't interested in the other non-V4 female figures because they offered no advantages for me over V4, with all her readily available morphs, fixes, and overall content. Even more so when there was a male figure (and kids) to go with her, and with pretty much the same morph product support.
If one primarily creates sexy pin-ups, cute fairies, or some types of fanart, there's an advantage to using different female figures. If one is building worlds and populating them, then the advantage tilts more toward figure(s) with the widest variety of characters, morphs, hair, and clothing. Yes, I could also still use an Antonia or a My Michelle, but if I already have a female figure that meets my particular needs, I have little incentive to spend more money or time on any others.
So if the Dawn figure can provide similar versatility (eventually!) while improving on V4's admittedly older mesh, and Hivewire can also give me other figures to populate my worlds, then I will spend money.
I tend to buy practical clothing for both genders and mostly use contemporary clothing. But I'm also interested in SF and fantasy clothing -- I love Xurge's sets -- steampunk, military-ish uniforms of any era or genre, faux-fantasy historical clothing, and realistic historical clothing, as long as it isn't the skimpy stuff.
Or at least it has something I can use despite the skimpy stuff; I'm willing to do a little kit-bashing to get what I want. If the chainmail bikini comes with a fantastic set of boots, I'll consider buying the product just for the boots.

I use the Morphs ++ sets the most for V4, M4, and K4. After that, probably the Elite Ethnic Faces morphs, and anything by Capasces. But I've bought -- and used -- nearly all of the Gen4 morph sets, since I do a lot of dial characters. They're all useful for various bits of tweaking.
I'm glad to hear there are plans for a male figures, since I use both the male and female figures together a lot, and also teens, kids, and a baby eventually.
I am, as of the moment, primarily a DS3 user. The earlier versions of DS4 wouldn't work properly on my machine. I just installed the latest version, though, and everything seem okay. So far.
But I have no Genesis stuff except for the basics that come with the program and have continued to work with Gen4.
