Some what stale this one.Thread: new script request | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
PoserPython doesn't have acces to the necessary aspects of Poser to work with the Morph Brush tool, it would have to be completely (re)implemented in Python, but I'm pretty sure there's some deficiencies in terms of access to things like OpenGL (which you'd need for doing the picking and other interactions with the geometry).
Thread: Poser 5 and the Film Noir Detectives Office-- | Forum: Poser Technical
Just because the right texture is where it should be doesn't mean that's the one Poser actually loads, so check the relevant node in the Material room.
You'll probably find that there's another texture with the same name thats getting found first.
If that is the problem, the simplest cure is to give the texture a more unique name, and edit any files that refer to it to reflect the change of name.
Thread: How safe is Poser for a younger audience? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Oddly enough, though, we have only a handful of topless or nude beaches here.
I'm pretty sure that's due to the typical summer weather.
Thread: The MarketPlace Showcase | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've always kept an eye on the Showcase forum, but since it became RMP vendors only, there has been a lot less traffic as only a few vendors seem to bother (and some of them don't check the links they post, if they post one at all).
Thread: Creating primitives in Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you want to create geometry using only Poser, then you need to use Python.
For non-programmers, using a modelling app is generally easier.
Thread: How safe is Poser for a younger audience? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - How safe is Poser for a younger audience?
That you're asking the question suggests that you think that some aspect of Poser may be unsafe.
You haven't said what that aspect is, neither have you provided details of the social context which makes you think that. Â
Quote - Am I overthinking this? am I disorting the whole thing? Opinions are most welcomed.
Without knowing the social context in which you're asking, there is no way to answer. Â
On the assumption that the aspect is related to nudity, then the best comparison would be to unclothed plastic dolls or figures from classical art.
Thread: Done with DAZ | Forum: DAZ|Studio
The biggest source of false positives is from the heuristic models the various AV products use.
Installers by there very nature are more likely to trip those.
A good strategy is to rescan with them turned off, so that if it does trip again, you know it's matching a specific virus signature (and so increases the likelyhood that you've got a true positive).
Thread: what does this mean | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The scripts are compiled for a different version of Python than the one the version of Poser you're running them in has.
Contact the author to see if there's an update (for a P6 script to run with P9) or an older version (for a P9 script to run in P6).
Thread: Has Rendo deleted older posts? | Forum: Community Center
Quote - I could not think of a better way to ask this, but I just went to find an older post and I noticed most of the forums i checked only go back until april. If this is not new, it is something I never noticed before... or is it something screwy with my browser or my forum settings?
The forums only have the last 45 days worth of posts, after that you need to use the "archive" link to get to older ones without using the search.

Working store link.Thread: Rendo never change your great store functions! :) | Forum: Community Center
Quote - Thanks! Im sure we'll be keeping that feature..it is nifty
So long as the programmers figure out how to do the "Grab Bag" events without turning it off.
Thread: Norton Internet Security is identifying a R'osity link as viral... any suggestio | Forum: Community Center
The first script in the body of that page looks dubious as it's obsfucated.
Allowing scripting for videoflyover.com injects an IFRAME for quinnwealth.com which triggers a "This is a reported attack page" in FireFox.
Visiting videoflyover.com directly also triggers the warning for quinnwealth.com, so I'd say that the problem is there.
Thread: Changing old links into new links? | Forum: Community Center
Quote - It comes up with an error message, (it says only co-ordinators can access that thread)
That message means the thread has been moved to a forum you can't access not that the link is an old one.
