I prefer not to use UE since i want full control. My experience is that ready-made solutions like this are generally very limited. I want to spend the time learning from scratch.

My question is rather if anyone here know how to get at least a basic shader setup (using the shader mixer) to get me on the right track.

What i need is a shader that combines reflection/refraction with subsurface scattering. Is it even possible to get volumetric effects with Firefly?

I have been trying different approaces of that for three weeks. It just doesn't work. There is always an influence from the sphere that you can see very clear even if it is invisible. Poser really, really sucks in just about everything! Sorry but i am VERY frustrated right now... /Ohman

I am afraid that the answer as usual is "not possible". Why do i still use Poser?? /Ohman

This script is to parent objects to other objects. That is the easy part. ;o) 1. Parent prop. 2. Add keyframe for the frames that the prop will be parented. 3. Reparent prop to universe (or other...) and poser recalculates position/rotation. 4. Delete unwanted keyframes. I need to animate the props affecting/not affecting cloths inside the cloth simulations. /Ohman

Ahh! In reply no 6 i say "animate the coreographing". I mean i need to animate coreographing on/off or similar. A simulation don't use invisible props even if listed as collision objects. I have even tried to hack the pz3 files to animate visibility, but i don't think it is possible. /Ohman
Thread: Dynamic cloth users - Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I understand what you mean but i want to release the cloth, not pick it up. I have tried this before in 20-30 different ways but it is impossible to have a realistic behaviour of the cloth with a prop attached to it. I have tried to animate the prop (box or sphere) to make it's influence as small as possible but in this case it is just plain impossible. I just need to completely get rid of the dang prop at frame 102. The problem is that the clothing is attached to another prop using the constrained group. A character then grabs the cloth (using a prop affecting the choreographed group) and pulls it towards himself, building up a tension in the cloth. After three seconds he releases i and the cloth snaps away. /Ohman

Yes, but the problem is that the hand shall release the cloth after about three seconds. I need to someway "animate the coreographing". If i use the hand grasp to grab the cloth, the simulation hangs. /Ohman

Already tried that. In this case it is impossible to animate an invisible prop so the cloth will behave realistically. Same thing with the other suggestion. When you spawn a prop the cloth will have a new "relaxed" position and tensions etc is lost. Any other ideas? /Ohman
Thread: hair prop using cloth dynamic | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have been very successful with clothifying the blunt cut hair. The upper part and the cap i put to the constrained group and the rest to the dynamic group. Then i used a sphere (modified with mags) and a cylinder to act as collision objects instead of the head and neck. Saves a LOT of calculation time. Very good results. /Ohman

Thanks Grey_cat! StretchLegs-/Arms works. I had completely forgotten these. Thanks everybody! /Ohman

Forgot... usslopez: Same result i'm afraid. I need to scale down the legs along the y-axis and the arms along the x-axis to about 85%. Scaling up the legs to 117% (1/0.85=1.17) along z- and x-axis gives the same result. /Ohman
