IÂ was wondering if there's a way to incorporate existing transparencies. The only way IÂ found is to set the transparency on the root node after applying VSSÂ and plug the transparency map back in.
It would be great if VSSÂ would just leave the existing transparency alone.

Quote - Does anyone know why VSS would cause my figures in Textured display mode to "white-out" ???
What I mean by "white-out" is that after applying VSS (Vss3) my figures displays totally white - like with 100% white ambient, totally flat lighting. I'm using Poser Pro 7.0.4 (latest patch).
This even persists to a intermittent degree if I switch to simple smooth shaded mode.
IÂ feel like this has been asked before, but I could find anything in this monster thread (oh how I wish you could search within a thread!!!)
Thanks!!
One thing IÂ found was that sometimes VSSÂ gets confused which map to use. Especially Liquid Rust from DAZ has maps that have all textures in it. One thing I do there is before applying VSSÂ IÂ run the "Remove detached nodes" macro in the material window. That does the trick.

Quote - In the Material Room, under Preview. Create a new rule with the name of the prop and delete the original.
Thanks for the quick answer. However it does not solve the problem. IÂ think what's happening is that bagginsbill tries to prevent the VSSÂ prop to synchronize itself. This would happen if it could synchronize props parented to a figure. However, it also limits the usability for certain props. I was wondering if there's a way around it, so that props (which are actors in python) can be synchronized.

Is there a way to incorporate props that are parented to a figure? Somehow I don't get the script to accept them even though the material names match.
I tried to fiddle with the script but can't seem to find the place where it excludes actors that have a figure.

The shader setup looks great!
Is there a way to apply the rules to one figure only? I've tried to see what it does to my current scenes and it matches clothes against it. Daggerhandle was my favorite.

Hi there,
One workaround would be using the pzrXML library with float buttons instead of sliders. It's a simple cosmetic change but could achieve the same result.
