Hi there, I had the same problem, until I turned off my color correction in Illustrator. I'm using version 7, but it'd apply to anything above 4.0, I think. A surefire way to get the colors you want would be to stick with a basic pallette in AI, then do your main 'paint-up' inside Flash, using its own color pallette. I know, I hate the color choices and the Flash picker is a pain to use, but if you're after accurate color, that's the best way to go. I've found CorelDRAW to be much easier to use, faster (not to mention more stable on a MAC) and can export AI format easily and corectly, as long you stay away from specific special effects. Also, line-thickness transfers better from Corel to Flash, and last I checked, you could also cut and paste directly from Corel into Flash, unlike AI.

Yep, I've been expecting Adobe to jack prices sooner. There's just not enough people buying the product to justify the low prices. Sure it's great when you can get it now for about $500, but when you look at the whole company, Adobe isn't in trouble, but they're hurting. I'm glad I got PS 5.5 for both Mac and PC at the same time! Sheesh! Maybe Corel can pull a good one with Painter now...
