I'm really happy to confirm that I obtained the complete refund of 99.95$ for poser 14 upgrade!
BTW the version I currently use since its debut is ver.11 not 13!!
Here in Italy there's a football jargon ("squadra che vince non si cambia") that translated in english sounds like "a team that wins must not be changed"...
so I bought version 13 but really I never installed it in my "old" PC.
Now that I have a brand new PC, I have installed version 13, after uninstalling the useless (for me!) version 14...
the person from Poser Support (Tim Choate) wrote me :
"Sorry Poser 14 did not meet your needs at this time."
:)
"at this time..." :o

They answered that they removed 3ds files handling... and a lot of other things... :(
then they suggested me to work on Poser 13, and asked if I want the refund.. Yes of course!
but I complained about their choises, hoping that in newer versions they will reintroduce 3ds files...
who knows?
BTW version 13 is really good, so no need for newer versions!

thanks a lot!!
now I'm waiting for their answer...
in your experience, do you think that I'll be eligible for a refund, just because for me version 14 is completely useless, without the expected handling of 3ds files?
I'm really happy with version 13 and I bought version 14 just as an upgrade of my preferred graphic program.
but I never thought they would abandon backward compatibiltity...
that's my opinion as a retired senior software developer!

Thanks for the quick answer...
I'm quite new to this forum, so I don't know how I can "Put in a help desk ticket" ...
AFAIK, 3ds files are far for being "old formats" !! and backward compatibility should be a must for a serious software as Poser is!
;)
