this link specifies which drum instrument applies to which note. As Bobasaur said, channel 10 is generally used for drums and percussionThread: Ockham's midi-powered piano and calliope | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"MIDI is wildly non-standard...It wouldn't work for the vast majority of MIDI. " There's a Genera Midi Standart (GM) that specifies the tracks and channels assigned to rhytm (drums) and the notes that apply to each drum instrument. You might want to check this standart, as almost every midi song today conforms to this standart, making it easier to play on almost every soundcard.
Thread: How long have you used poser and how old when first used computer? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Im a relative newbie, started using a IBM PC (4.77 mHz, 64 kb RAM expanded to 376 KB) 2 5.25" floppies, 4 color CGA, DOS 3.1, in 1985 at the age of 12 (Im 30 now). Upgraded later (bout 10 yrs later) to a 486 so i could use CorelDraw, to earn some money while in medical scool. Found Poser about 2 years ago, while searching for 3D graphics programs to spice up my presentations while in residency. And i've been hooked since. By the way... i haven't found a cure for Poser addiction.

Thread: *** Dr Geep "speaks" *** ................................ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
*** lurker speaking out for the first time *** Dr. Geep: You are one of the reasons that I keep checking posts on 'rosity day by day, even when it interferes with my practice (I am an MD, but not as real a Dr. as you), and you made Posing an enjoyable hobby for me. I will be very sad if you leave, hoping (i expect for long) that someone will fill your shoes as a great teacher for all the poser newbies (and not so newbies). I too have also marveled at your humor, art and teachings. Very sorry to see you leave.
Thread: Full body hair? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Select a body part (p4 or propack) and type HAIR, and a window appears that gives you some kind of hair generator or something. I tried it once and generated some pretty hairy Mike2 hands. Maybe Dr. Geep can write a tutorial about this hair generator.
