Hi Wabe - thanks for your response. The scenes do render properly and I have tweaked background draw and the black boxes resolve fairly quickly into objects now. I'll keep working on it but overall, is acceptable. Thanks.

Well, reverted to original install and the missing file problem is a thing of the past. Still wonder what the errors actually cost me as I could not see any shortfall in my final renders. Thanks again for your thoughts. raf

That is amazing but my first thought, (besides being envious of the obvious talent to create something like this!)was that it looked "rashy". Would like to see it without the red as a comparison. Excellent work - thanks for sharing. raf

Hi Belgareth - thanks for the quick response. I am using RenderCow and I believe that one of my other machines still had an updated RC on it so therefore I was not using a "virgin" installation. Question: If I do use one of the betas, are these files really necessary for my render? Thanks again. raf

I really appreciate all of you taking the time to help out. The number was generated at installation and all is well. I am slack-jawed with this new release. And another thing, how many companies issue a patch before most of us receive the product? Quite impressive, indeed.

Glad to hear Dave is on the mend. I also received the E-on update regarding shipping delay and appreciate their open communication. I've ordered apps before and when they did not arrive, I've heard "Oh, glad you called, your pucchase is on back order." Yeah, right. Anyway, patience all, will be worth the wait I'm sure.
