Personally, I am offended by some of the outright porn that passes for art these days. That being said, I don't think it is within a financial institutions rights to be the arbiter of my morals. I am an adult, and I can choose whether or not to purchase (or even look at) something that's pornographic. I mean, Vicki is a cartoon for all intents and purposes. Do they (PayPal) really think that I'm buying these products to get my jollies?

Thread: Voting on Gallery Uploads | Forum: Community Center
I'm with umblefugly on this one: "I vote for 1 main gallery upload per day.I should clarify that, 1 upload for the general galleries and if the member has a product coming soon then an additional one for the Product Showcase and Product Forum while the WIP and Beginner galleries remain at the same status. Just my 2 cents:)" Just my 2 cents! So between us we have 4 cents:)

Thread: Poser Trees? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks everyone for all of the responses! I tried exporting my figures and stuff to .obj format and importing to Bryce, create the rest of the scene there and render. However, sometimes the figures don't import properly - missing hair, wrong textures, etc. - so if I can create the entire scene in Poser and render there, it saves me the export-import hassles; and my hair (and my figures' hair) stays where it belongs! Pokeydots - I looked at liteluvr, as you suggested, but there wasn't any trees. Badmoon - Great idea. I was looking through the Marketplace. It never occurred to me to look in free stuff. Geoegress - Thanks for the links. I'll check them out on Monday when I get back to my T1 at work. (28.8 max speed at home!) Swamp - That looks like exactly what I'm looking for! The Bryce trees have a bit of boring sameness to them. I also use PSP extensively - I own Jungle 3D - and I'd love to be able to create my own tubes. Once again, Thanks to all for your help. Hopefully, I'll be posting soon. Happy rendering!

Nice Job! Maybe I'll do the same... My 30 day trial just ran out - I guess I'll have to buy it now.

Walther, If you have to play while waiting (as I do), then do what I do - render on one machine and play on another. I use a KVM switch so that I don't even have to look at a different screen. ReFlash

You definitely want to consider more mem. 256 is considered the minimum today, with 512 or more for math intensive processes (like rendering). Memory is cheap!

Thread: Re-post ruling | Forum: Bryce
In response to bikermouse: That seems like a good idea - limiting the number of reposts. If I post an image, it's one that I think is good enough for entry into the contest. If I get a lot of negative comments, I think it only fair to allow me at least one or 2 chances to improve it, but not ad infinitum (or ad nauseum). Whether it is a hard and fast rule, or an "unwritten rule" that we as the voters enforce really makes no difference. Either way, when surfing through the thread, I would like to see other peoples' work, not one person's image over and over. IMHO.
Thread: Re-post ruling | Forum: Bryce
I would have to agree with most of the posters here that the idea is to learn. I haven't posted anything yet since I'm very new, but when I do, I will probably post a WIP or 2 just to get the feedback (negative as well as positive). Since there is no money or prize awarded, just the respect of our peers, I see nothing wrong with it. As has been stated before in this thread - the idea is to learn. That being said, and since it's too late to start anything for this month's challenge, when will Sept's challenge be posted (and where)? Also, is there a ruling against using multiple programs to create different parts of your scene and comping them in Photoshop?
Thread: Waterline question. | Forum: Bryce
I believe that is the case. But as you can see above, you can do 2 renders and join them in Photoshop, Paint Shop, etc.
