Thanks to all. I got it working. Throm and GK Dantas hit the nail on the head. What I was missing was that little retangle box in the upper right corner of the modeling screen. Convert to a different modeler. Nice new window giving you choices and when one is selected, guess what. The modeling window opens in all of its glory. I appreciate all of your help from everyone.

Primative. And thanks for the correction. Modeling roon, thats it. Couldn't think of it for the life of me. I knew someone would understand when I described the icon.

Screen capture, good luch there. I'm having enough trouble with Carrara. First time this has happened. Had Carrara 5 forever. Never used it much, but now the need arises.

I'm running XP with the latest release. I have a NIVARA( spelling wrong) 9800 card with latest drivers. All my other software is doing great. Poser, DS (latest) and Flash CS4.

I have the book Blender for Dummies and for those who are having a rough time getting their head around Blender, this book is a must have. Even those who have used Blender for awhile will get many ideas and reminders from the book. I love Jason's style. He has a nice easy way in describing verious aspects of Blender and he also has a good sense of humor.

I find Blender fun to learn. My 70 year old brain has picked up so very much from all the free tuts out there. My approach has been, this is fun and what new thing can I grasp from this tut. Neal Hirsig's video tuts have been the most help. Reading the various forums on the internet has also helped. I have just modeled my first simple thing and did a 10 second fly thru following various tuts. I figure if my 70 year old brain can do it any one can. Never could get Poser figured out. I find Blender easier to use and I can make my own stuff. Good feeling of accomplishment. Can't wait to see what is going to be in the 2.5 build. And just think it's allFREE.
