hmm..actually jbrugion has a good point about the difference between Mathmatically correct and Visually correct...I found out the hard way that what is usually mathematically correct (read: clothing maintains the BASIC contour it had in the original position) usually looks visually 'unnatural'... From what I've seen, and IDEAL solution would be to have a killer 'draping' algorithm if you will that would simulate the 'dropping' of the item over the body and modify the contour of the clothing accordingly, with an algorithm like this one could get the 'natural' differences of actually putting a larger sized shirt on a model (you would have to scale the shirt before an algorithm like this would effectively 'cover' the model or it would look like your model had a shirt on that was too short, but this actually happens in nature no?)... I've only seen one article on something like this (wish I knew where it was...it was months ago :), and the guy took something like half a day for each run and the number of control points were ENORMOUS...
Thread: Making clothes fit | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
hehe...actually your website is one that I came across before. Being a programmer (and nosey as heck), I HAD to try it myself to see what problems were involved. I planned on buying the clothing pack update (have to in order to make anything with Vicki that has clothing, since I usually don't like her 'standard' appearance)... But knowing that the problems I ran into are most likely 'standard' problems with the issue is somewhat reassuring (unless we used the same technique)... The only other thing I learned about this process is that I really need to look more into Pythons ability to accept 'classes' from other languages. I'd imagine that you've been down that path since you are looking into reselling your scripts, it would be the only way to not 'tell' all customers how you did what you did.
Thread: insufficient disk space to render at that resolution | Forum: Poser Technical
I have the exact same problem yet mine sometimes even barfs at trying to render a 1280x1024 image (usually my images/renders become wallpaper for my computers since I royally suck at doing anything I would consider 'for public consumption') on my Win2000 system. I can take the SAME pz3 file and render it on my laptop running Win98 and it renders just fine.
