Amy, I notice that in the updated version, the collars of the beach volleyball top won't morph using Daz Studio morph follower, while in the older versions they did. This renders any brest or body morphs useless (at least for me!) I noticed this using the Age 19 PMDs.
Thought I'd point this out, though I don't know why it would occur- maybe there needs to be some blank channels for those body parts?
Quote - I tried to fix the problem as described by lesbentley. I edited the .cr2 and set the initValue to 0 for all rotations. I tested it with DAZ Studio, it acts the same as before, i.e., it works in DAZ Studio.
Haruchai, could you try it in Poser?
odf, you are right! I'm using 122's cr2 as the base because it is the one that is available at the time I started.

Quote - Thanks, rjjack! I guess what I really meant is whether D|S would accept a pose file made for Poser that switched the geometry. I've seen that pull-down menu as well, but I don't remember if one needed any plugins to get that. Well, we'll see. I'll try some things when the time comes, and then the DAZ users can tell me where it breaks.
Howdy - from what I remember, the pose files to switch geometry works in D/S (3 and earlier). This from playing with Kirwyn's K figure (switching the feet to shoes), and various Sixus1 figures (Blind Guardian, HER changeling, Behemoth BoP outfit etc). Both the dropdown box under geometry, and applying the pose to change, work without a hitch.
Love what you're doing with Antonia, awaiting the next release eagerly!
ps I've seen some folks make everything into a conformed figure (including guns, swords etc), and it just doesn't work too well for the most part. Long hair can be ok, but I've found that if it isn't (fairly tight) clothing then a prop works better.

came across this thread awhile ago, and just found the download. have to say I'm very impressed with this figure and eagerly await the finished product. Note to Daz Studio users- ith the free inject PMD plugin, everything works.

That's a good point- I use Word mostly for word processing, but I have WordPerfect too. Not very long ago I got sent some documents (legal, no less) in a format specific to WP. Is one better than the other? Well, I know how to use the one a lot more fluently, but for that document the other was by far what I needed.
I have both Poser and Studio, I prefer Studio's interface and rendering. I also like the D/S specific coontent (used it since the beta where ya got lo-res M2and V2 with all morphs, so that is nice). I like the dynamic features, the python plugins and the better animation of Poser.
If I want to create a landscape in Bryce and populate it with people, I will definitely use Studio- it just works a lot smoother. If I want to build some object in Shade and put a person in the scene, I will definitely use Poser and the Poserfusion feature. To do otherwise in either situation would be basically dumb considering how the programs integrate. I have, like and use both. I'm happy and grateful that there's so much overlap with the content, because that actually is what I really like.

You betcha
as an aside, it's always been a bit of a pain to download something that installs/unpacks into a seperate runtime (sometimes a vendor wil put their name or product name on the top folder of the tree, with the runtime folder inside it). I don't like to group things that way, and usu end up drag-and-dropping things. with the runtime folder being first, the downloader can simply point his extracter at whatever path he wants.

Thread: I knew it was too good to be true! *cries* | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I have a very simple and effective approach, my runtime is always below 2GB that is the size of driver E:.
I don't use all what I have, I keep only in disk what I use. Time to time I add something new and what is obsolete or don't use it anymore goes to a CD, I have more than a hundred of CDs (zipped).
Is very easy to administrate 2GB and a full backup of my actual Poser fits in only two zipped CDs (in one all the textures and in the other all the runtime).
If very good to have a small partition, when you have no space to put something new it means that you have a lot of obsolete things to saved for making room for the new.
That's very good in theory, and probably works great for disciplined folks. I even tried to do that once myself, but kept saying "oh, I'll use that tomorrow".
I had a sheer terror moment once myself, backed stuff up on a DVD-RW instead of a plain DVD, and wiped it by mistake! luckily, I redownloaded most of it...

this is a bit off-topic, ands not related to anything in this current thread outside of the actual topic, but-
if you want or need to free up space on the hard drive, sure, uninstall it. I have both installed, but I have a 100 gig hd so space isn't an issue.
but why is there so much antagonism towards that program from so many poser users? sure, it doesn't incorporate all of the features Poser 5/6 does, like dynamic cloth and hair, and the scripting language prevents usage of python scripts. but it does have it's features also- a leaner interface, better interaction with Bryce (with the release of Bryce 5 free, this is useful to many people), and integration with a fine renderer, 3delight, which is slowly but surely being unlocked with many scripts and shaders.
I just don't get it; I learned my 2D skills with Gimp, and didn't smirkingly desire to uninstall it after finally getting the 'real' Photoshop. And I'm not accusing anyone in this thread of smirking, but there ARE plenty of scornful comments aimed at D/S on many forums.
I've used Studio since the early beta stages, and like lots of other people I refer to what I play with as 'poser stuff', because Poser is the 'standard' for simple 3d posing and rendering of premade figures. just like many others' 'photoshop stuff' is actually created by Gimp or Paint Shop Pro, because the programs are clearly related in function, content, and usage.
I've seen lots of smirky, elitist comments aimed at Poser users over the years from users of 'true 3d programs' such as maya and the like. It surprises me to find that a similar reaction would appear amongst the poser crowd, directed at studio; I frankly exprected the poser community to be a bit more welcoming of a kindred program. I think it's a good thing another program supports the poser format and file structure. It actually helps validate the format as legitimate, the way both Gimp and PSP using PSD files does for PS.
Just a question I've had for awhile.
Thread: MDP F202 in CLOTHES! Without WW Support?! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
good to see some interest in f202, I've always liked the figure. so TY clothing fits as such? hafta look for some skirts and such and twist the dials...
that is once I end up rebuilding my pc- horrible coincidental death of the AGP slot while rendering with free Bryce 5. Both my own knowledge that it was a software render and not using my video card, as well as multiple outside assurances that it 'was just time to die' tell me it was coincidence; nonetheless I'm scared as hell to try that again. never a problem with either poser or daz studio
worst part is to somehow save the gigs of runtime before I have to redo my hd...!

can't remember where I found it, maybe here in freestuff-- 'Aurora' headmorph for AikoLE. When applied it gives Aiko Vicky's head, which is great for more realistic images of her.
There are/were magnets available to give the various gals fuller chests _look for willdial's sets (depends on taste of course). The nice thing about magnets is you can usually apply them to clothing too, whereas morphs don't often translate that way in my experience. A note about the magnets- you can select the magnet itself after applied and scale it to fit your needs.
Hairs- definitely all from Kozaburo and maya, and keep in mind any hair prop (not conforming figure) can be scaled to fit any figure with a little dial moving. The standard hair for Wapicodoll is great for example. Aiko also comes with a nice hairprop.
Figures- you have Daz incl Aiko and the animals from their free site- gorilla, sanke, python. Contentparadise puts out a new critter each week it seems, though with poser 5 downloading may have to wait. Mayadoll and Sara as mentioned. Sixus1 poserfreebies.com has an assortment of figures too, several that give unique options- Behemoth is a big fella, and Britta is a child. Some cool monsters there too
