Thread: ARTCharts ... in a different way ..what do you think? "poll" | Forum: Community Center
Giolon, you're right about that, at least half of the favorite images appears to be non-poser. But I also agree with 4blueyes regarding the art charts. There are at least 40 other galleries that must compete with Poser to be listed in the art chart top 50. Maybe I'm just missing the point of what the art charts are supposed to represent.

I know everyone seemed to hate the hot20 but at least the different genres allowed us to see some standout artwork that would otherwise would have been easily missed in the constant uploading of new artwork.
I don't usually have the time or patience to sit here daily and sift through the huge galleries - even when using the filters I would miss some great stuff. I'm not a programmer but it seems to me the art charts could be modified to reflect what gallery you are currently viewing? I really miss seeing the Bryce, Terragen, 2d, and various other galleries' hot pics.
Thread: Why does the Most Viewed Gallery only have the top 100 images? | Forum: Community Center
It's interesting to note that the vast majority of thumbnails in the top 100 seem to include boobie shots.
Thread: Photo realism debate!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If I'm not mistaken Poser was originally conceived as an artist's aid for anatomy when working in other programs. I'm a bit confused as to how it's use as such came to be frowned upon. Am I wrong about this? By the way, I commend the artists that are capable of creating photorealistic art by just using Poser. I'm not one of them, I don't have the patience to play with dials and settings. I much more enjoy making the fixes in a photo editor. To me it seems to be a more direct approach.

What a fun little debate! Here's my two cents: I think we should do away with all of the Software categories and sort all of the images by subject matter or lack thereof. It really shouldn't matter what tools you use to create an image - just so long as you are satisfied with the end result. Maybe just list various tools/software used in order to better educate the viewer.

Thanks, GothicAngel, for letting us know, looks like one of my images was used as well. One more thanks to Hannah for taking care of the jerks.

Let us create man in our own image and give him large pecs. Seriously - nice color and composition.

One a day sounds like a perfectly reasonable limit. A prolific portfolio could still be created within a few weeks even with this upload limitation implemented.
Thread: How much postwork is considered too much? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I guess it pays to be as descriptive as possible when posting an image. Yes, I do tend to post in the Poser gallery because I know more people will view it than if I posted in the mixed medium gallery. It's unfortunate that a lot of spectacular art is ignored because it's not posted in a popular gallery. I know this is a digression of the question I originally asked but I just have to say that it would it be nice if the galleries were maybe classified by subject matter rather than by tool used. So many of the works in all of the galleries have a little bit of one program or another added to a post whether it's an imported object or corrective postwork. This is really a moot point since this website has been successfully running in it's current iteration for several years now. I'm sure if the classifications were to change we would once again have people complaining about what picture was placed in what gallery. Once again thanks for all of the comments. This has been quite enlightening. -Michael

Thread: does postwork on poser, bryce, vue,et al. images make | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I do an extremely heavy amount of postwork after I render an image in Poser but I still post the image in the Poser gallery. Technically all of my images should go in the Mixed medium gallery. I don't put them there for a few reasons: First because I started the image in Poser, I still consider it a "Poser" image. To me Poser is just a means to an end to achieve the vision I created in my mind. Whatever other software that is used to finish the image is unimportant. Secondly, I feel that placing the image in the Poser gallery allows for more exposure to the renderosity community. Regardless of the quality of the image it will get far less visits if it is posted in another gallery other than this one.
