Phoul, your work puts all the complainers (myself being one included) in real perspective, this is more proof of what can be done with vue and real skill. All of the technical issues aside, vue's still a powerful tool, and you prove that.

e-on wants it to work too hence the delays, so give 'em time and be patient, let em work it out.

I save more often than when playing a first person shooter on hard. That's the only way to keep from losing your work all the time.

"the whole encryption mess was a mistake and will be fixed."
Thank you for this news and thanks to e-on for admitting this.
By "fixed" I hope they mean "deleted with extreme prejudice".
Thread: Ecosystems with cornucopia trees- no go | Forum: Vue
Got it working with ecosystems, turn down scale, up density. Hypervue with them is still a problem, though.
Thread: Encryption of files is a BAD idea for everyone | Forum: Vue
I just got the new plants to work in vue ecosystems. You have to set the scale much lower and ramp up the density. You just can't save that ecosystem to use in other scenes, you need to rebuild it every time. Anyway, ontopic, do they really think the black market for vue files is so big? Maybe object files I can understand, but veg and eco files?

The cornu objects in scenes don't seem to work with hypervue either... (cows say "disconnected") I have a feeling they had an Aug 1 deadline and they are selling things still in beta, not a good business practice...

silverblade, did you get those distant pines in an ecosystem? Cant get that to work in V5I. Tried all the new trees...
Thread: Large Monitor? | Forum: Vue
Yeah, LCDs are the future, everyone wants one and the profit margins are better because of the price tags. BUT in 2010 I'll still be luggin my old 50 pound cathode ray tube hehe.

Juts bought a Phillips 201b4, 20 inch, 1920x1440, $350 at newegg.com. Worth it. Not a true flat screen, but a crt has better colors and sharpness than any LCD. Can watch 1080p HD too.

Thanks, I'll try rebooting. Why doesnt e-on offer the last stable patch as well as the beta, anyway? Seems silly.
I've noticed a couple other wierd things too. My main machine is a 3ghz 1gb, my wireless is a 1.5ghzM with 256m ram. When network rendering the 1.5ghzM is 80-90% as fast as my 3ghz. I'm wondering if my PC is underperforming or what...
I've had V5i only a few days and am amazed at what it can do. Couple crashes here or there, but I had a scene with a 30 billion poly ecosystem and it ran just fine!
