Well, from version 8 i think, photoshop supports custom key mapping (from file or edit menu i think you can acces it) where you can assign any key you wish - to most functions. With any older version, you have to use US keyboard, or find some workaround, for instance press F5, move brush size slider. This is actually my method, as it is more WYSWIG than keyboard enlargements. F5 dont works in psp 6 i think. Also, you probably know, that TAB toggles all the windows on and off, and shift-tab does the same, except it leaves toolbar on. S.

you can use illustrators file - export and save as bitmap directly, without having to go to photoshop. i also wonder how you get such a big file, maybe you can reconsider your techniques.
Thread: Question about Noise filter. | Forum: Photoshop
heres also nice trick for noice. Create new layer. Fill with 50 perc. gray. apply noise. set layer blending to overlay. you can create noise wery strong, and then reduce its effect by changing layer opacity.

Its all strange solution, i think. the best way to return to some state is to not change originals, edit copies. (open orig, ctrl+shift+s to save as.)

There is also cool use for pause(not that tiny on top of keyb. but that wide button closest to you :)) When you hold it, your tool is temporaly replaced by dragging hand icon. Exttremely handy on small monitors. in WIN ctrl and +- on numeric keypad changes zoom level, cant be too different on mac. Numpad 0 with ctrl zooms to 100 percent.
Thread: Photoshop 7: Mouse scrolls instead of zoom please help... | Forum: Photoshop
you can use CTRL and +/- keys on numkeypad to zoom easily. And spacebar for dragging big image - it temporaily changes your current tool to hand. Also, in older versions, CTRL+numpad zero shifted zoom level to 100 per cent.
Secret tip if you dont know
tab hides all toolbars, shift+tab hides all except tools.
