Daz sells their Mac products in sit files not zip. Contact them and see if you can get replacements. The sit files will install everything in the right places. However, this is a long term solution in the event you have to rebuild your drive from scratch, etc.For a quicker fix and for everyday use you'll need Poser Macinstaller 1.0.6 from soft-rabbit.com. The catch is that Macinstaller only runs in OS 9. With luck OS 9 is came installed on your computer.
While you're at soft-rabbit, download Maconverter. You'll need to convert pc files to Mac format in order for Macinstaller to recognize them.
Both programs are simple to use (drag-and-drop) and come with manuals to explain optional features. You should be up and going in just a few minutes.
Good luck.

Thread: Converting to Mac? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've dl'ed hundreds of "PC Only" files (both commercial and free) for my Mac and been able to use every one after processing them with MacConverter and a little patience. That's a success rate of 100%. The one kind of "PC Only" download that won't work is applications which I knew in advance not to try. You'll be okay with any kind of pure data file (textures, characters, etc.) However, any kind of application that processes or creates this data (texture converters, morph managers, etc.) probably will not work on your machine. (The "probably not" is because Python scripts will usually work on PPP and up.) You did not say what you type of product you were considering, but if it's a some kind of data file you shouldn't hesitate because of the "PC Only" issue. As you see there's plenty of help available here if you should run into difficulty after purchase. T Jobe

As you can imagine, the Renderosity Mac Forum in general has had a great deal of discussion on this issue in the last three weeks. I've attached a link to the forum. Jump back three weeks then scan forward through the comments to get a feel for how the introduction has gone over in the Poser Mac community.
Also if you still have a P4 or PPP disc, then you probably already have the Mac version; P4 and PPP were shipped as dual boot CD-ROMs. Pop the disc into your Cube and check it out.

Thread: ASP files??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Forgot to mention one thing... There's a common exception to opening .ez files with Suffit Expander that I should have mentioned since it occurs on this very site. The "readmedownload.ez" files that Mac users get in the Marketplace are not .zip files. Open them using Text Edit/Simple Text. Ah, for the good old days when we laughed up our sleeves at Windows users because they had to worry about all those crazy extensions, and our computers crashed and/or froze several times a day; on second thought I don't really mind hassling with extensions. You can, of couse, drop the the .ez files directly onto Stuffit Expander also. There is no need for renaming inorder for Suffit identify the file type in either case. TJobe

Drop it on on SuffIt Expander. I expect you received the file as a download. It's likely a disguised .zip file. Explorer/Safari also uses .asp files, but in that case YOU would have generated the file through a "Save As..." while online. I am assuming that that is not what happened. -TJobe
