Time to confuse the issue: The longest thread is actually the forum "Render Wars". This forum was created when the original thread about "Hobbit and Tolkienite Evil Intentions" was exposed. The resulting thread was cut into another thread. Which spawn a new reply thread. The Virtual Tavern (defunct now) spun the thread into a forum. The original thread is somewhere in the lost "Tavern" files. So when another thread gets its own forum we can consider it. Disclaimer: The views of this thread are the raving rants of TIO. Any similiarity to people, live, dead or zombie-fied, is probably intentional and meant to start a fight. All Hobbits are evil and must be destroyed (reference "the hobbits eat their own dead" thread). The medication is kicking in now and I don't feel compelled to finish this message.

I guess I'll close this post out as follows: Those who think anonymity is hiding - Please post your real names (first and last) to this thread. Those who think darkness means goth - Time did not start post middle ages. Darkness was around long before nonconformists found eyeliner meaningful. Those who are fond of describing anti-darkness as pink - You are beyond my help. Thank you for commenting. Those of you who think this post was about Star Wars - The point, you have missed. Those who are moderators - Why do you say the idea is bad twice before you say you are not saying it is bad. You sound like a school-marm. Not criticizing, just adding my critique. Thank you all for commenting. I will probably come up with another idea soon, so brace yourself and buy bonds. Peace by with you.

It is not flaunting, it is the release of an inner burden. The forums are not restricted to techniques and tools. The forums are to facillitate communication. Art is the medium of the communication. The forums provide a context for the ideas exchanged. This would be another context. It does not promote a religion, philosophy or political point of view. If what people are really saying is that they fear the darkness, then so be it. Don't enter the doorway whose handle you can not hold.

Have you ever tried to paint over darkness with pink. It will mix and the result will be blood red. Do not deny the darkness. Let it flow here, lest it flow everywhere else. Until the evil can be elliminated, it must be contained.

And now the truth... I started the render wars forum after blackmailing the admins here with photos from their new years party which featured a goat. The forum was created after the render warriors over ran the virtual tavern (tavern was axed recently). The 3D commune (a renderosity enemy) was viciously attached and in return they too created a render wars forum as a term of their surrender. As for me, I am the one they tried, but failed, to ban. Back in the beginning, I was there, expression was free and clever exchanges of ideas were encouraged. Since then, many ideas are crushed by the overly sensitive, business oriented side of the site. So, consider the render wars forum as the last remaining artifact of the time when giants roamed the site (that means me). As a side note: My chat invites were a source of GREAT community building. More people entered chat in those days out of curiosity from my invites then ever before. But, someone complained that the big words and bright ideas hurt their "little" heads. From community builder to ban target was my life. So, fight the power,(subliminal meaning "bow down before me") and express yourself fully (subliminal meaning "resist the admins and accept my sovreignty"). (We don't need no stinking speel cheekers)

Lets not forget that Curious Labs and Evioa... would be allies in this effort.

NVidia 32M GeForce2 GTS This problem did not exist under Carrara Studio 1.0 or 1.1 When I am in the assemble room, changes to attributes in the properties panel are immediate. The problem is only in the Model room. And only when using the vertex modeller. Also, if you highlight a polygon of four vertices then the properties window displays quadrilateral subpanel but all the coordinates are 0.00 There is definately a bug in the software if it only malfunctions in one type of modeller. I emailled a bug report to eovia. Hopefully they will investigate the problem. If anyone else has an idea, please let me know how to make this important to eovia. The new registration route for carrara makes it troublesome to uninstall 2.0 and reinstall 1.1 but I may have no choice. We carrara users appear to be few here at renderosity. I shall personal address this issue, possibly in the magazine.....

I have experienced this problem under: OpenGL DirectX Software All three methods. It does appear as though there is some sort of update trigger that is not being fired.
