Try moving or copying needed content into a folder that contains a "runtime" folder. DAZ did a nice scan of my harddrive, auto selecting product zip files that I had uncompressed.Â
Thread: Using D-Form in DAZ | Forum: DAZ|Studio
If you cannot obtain the PDF off Daz or what you download is incomplete;Â I can email the file as needed (under implied free distribution of the file)
I must admit that Daz is pretty wise making the Studio program a freebie, and generating funds off content. I wouldn't have bought much from Daz and Renderosity if not for the programs free release. Thank you Daz, and thank you Renderosity for starting to support some Daz Studio Content.

Go back to Daz and download their PDF instructions for DazStudio. It's been updated to include the D-Form instructions towards the back 3/4 of it.Â
Rough Instructions
1. Select item to D-Form
I just like the DForm functions better that Poser Magnets. The live-view of colored verteci are more in line with modelling software (like 3D Max's "soft selection" use) The spline use for the field is different than I've seen in any program... but there is a maximum amount of points per spline, and you cannot edit the tangents on the curve. (rats..but it's still a great tool)
Thread: How do I allocate more Memory to Poser6? | Forum: Poser Technical
Listen to svdl about this temperature setting!!!
I burned my motherboard up doing a Maya dynamics render - when I opened the case, I had Dust Rhinos wrapped around the heat sink. One moment to use compressed air ($10 can) would have saved me many hundreds of dollars.
Another thing I do with memory is settings on Virtual Memory for the machine. I like to set it double the amount of RAM i have in both minimun and maximums.  (example - 1GB RAM, virtual memory 2GB) and make sure you aways have 2GB space.
Check for virus. Try CCleaner program (free) for general maintainence.  Clear out old renders from cache, and also consider clearing Undo cache as well (like right after a filesave)Â

::bump::
Yes, I had the same MAJOR problem with P7, and wasn't fixed in SR1.Â
Edi>General Preferences>Misc Tab
Might be smartest to turn ALL of them off. But if you are hurting for harddrive space, compress the files.  I find it strange that "external binary morphs" function is ON by default, yet this is the problem.Â
All files that had the binary morphs saved to them are Ruined. You've lost this work, just as I have lost work as well.Â

The bar MUST be raised higher and higher. As for Artist of Month/Year, I haven't used that contest as measure of quality and depth. It stands on it's own. I need to stay more informed of her works. I've loved and used her tutorial on postrendering fabrics and hair. I recommend it to all.
Thread: Animating and Posing | Forum: Animation
I don't think there is a single program that comes as complete as Poser is packaged. Every other program requires rigging skeletons, setting hierarchies, grouping polygons, and assigning textures. Poser has taken out that much labor for the figures available. And with online communities and brokers, that's alot of figures available. There are some specialty programs, such as RenderMan, but that requires tweeking. Poser is way cheaper!
Thread: Slowing Down Animation | Forum: Animation
Saxon - I must be doing something wrong, since the dialogue box for "retiming" has not yielded any results. So I take the long way. 1 - Add more frames to the end of the project. What you described might take 3-5 seconds. (time yourself falling like this if it helps planning) 2. Open the Animation Palette. Grab your last keyframe and drag it to the end frame. Take the next to last and move up... then the next and so on. Each move with recalculate interpreted frames for you, which is wiser to start at the back end. Space these keyframe in proportion to the new length. (key frames were every 5th frame at one second, and now every 20th for four second animation) 3. Move these keyframes closer/further apart to make action faster or slower. Each move again re-interpolates the frames. 4. Stay with your plan/storyboard.
