Thread: how to rig ( setup ) long hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Well-made strand-based hair knocks the socks off even the best transmapped hair IMO.
Any examples you can point to? I like the idea of strand based hair but have never really been able to get really great results with Poser's Hair Room. I'd love to see it done right and well, it might inspire me to try my hand at it again.

Poserwork's "Glow Worm" can do batch rendering and it's a Python script so OS version should be irrelevant. It's available at Daz...Thread: Specularity/Shadows Problem in P7 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

They had some packs for M3's Everyday Wear to do everything from Police to EMTs to UPS guys but they were sold at Poserpro and I don't know what has become of them.
Thread: M4 Pro Bundle | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, as Latex said, you've missed one of Beck's installers.
As for the pro bundle poses, I'm not sure, I haven't had a problem yet and I wenth through last night and loaded every pose that came him and the pro extras and didn't have a crash.
I've had nothing but a good experience with M4, I had a few small bumps with understanding in what order to apply the high res texture mats but after that it's been seamless. He's rendering and working great for me! Hopefully you can get these issues resolved cause he's been a delight to work with so far.

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I was not a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

Quote - Hmm.... Â I saw an interesting documentary on this topic on TLC (or was it Discovery?)
Had to be Discovery. TLCÂ doesn't show anything that's not about fixing, trading, flipping, moving, or remodeling houses, well that and the occasional "Worlds [Adjective]est Man/Woman" special.
Thread: POSER SIGHTING 4-2008, AND they keep using Posette | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think that this is honestly a perfect illustration of Poser doing exactly what it is designed to do.
Looking at the images it is beyond clear that the figures used are not intended in any way to be the focal points of the graphic. This usage demonstrates one of the mission statements of Poser, to provide simple to understand and easy to use 3d human figures for use in multimedia projects.
The figures used here actually benefit from looking less than realistic, in my opinion at least. I think its a great usage, and again, a perfect example of what Poser is supposed to provide as a part of digital artists tool box.
I feel like its really short sighted to come down on the images based only on the fact that the use the default figures.

Thread: OT: Anyone else disappointed by the look of the new STAR WARS? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
GoM hit it.
Do you honestly think this is the best Lucas, who's movies have featured photo realistic 3d characters, could do?
The style and quality are specifically intended to be exactly as they are since they chose to exactly emulate the style of the 2d cartoon.
Do I think it was necessarily a great idea to go for this look? No. But at the same time I don't think they could have really produced a photo real series for TV and kept the quality up from what they can do for a movie.
I'm not a fan of the look, but I understand why it looks as it looks and that it looks that way on purpose. It seems intended for kids, Star Wars has always appealed to kids. Lucas is smart and knows how to make a buck, this is not a move that was arrived at over night.
And honestly, if they make this series look like living action figures how do you think that's gonna effect the action figure sales when they come out? Through the roof right?
Thread: If you haven't already checked Freestuff today, I strongly suggest you do. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I can't fault the guy... he's doing it as a promotion to get people to watch his 'The Movies' movie and it's smart.
Do you guys also plan to abstain from purchasing Daz products because they are using a similar means of promotion by heavily discounting new products and even giving older products away from free to drawing winners?
Will you never purchase Kurt Hair or Madelyne Hair for full price just because it was once on sale for 90% off?
I don't agree that it's bad for business because for every one person who had purchased his products and feels slighted their are now five people who had never heard this merchant's name and now have become potential customers for his new products simply because of this promotion and this resulting discusson.
