I was very glad to find this in preferences too - I missed the 1st couple of time I looked as well!!! Glad to have it fixed - I like to have all the images separate. Some prefer the tabs but I find the pics too hidden like that - each to their own I guess....

@ Thelby - Checked out the imagesynth - do you use that for making textures for terragen?

Oh yes I did forget to mention that - I did ask Photoshop to look in my new plugins folder under preferences ->plug ins -> Additional plug ins folder. I had to load them into the new folder one at a time because there was something in the original folder it did not like!! I've just got a new computer so all sorts of shuffling happening.

Yeah the plug-in filters were a prob to load. I kept getting an error about the msvcrt.dll file being missing. In the end I loaded each filter one at a time and they work fine. I had a huge range of filters that I had collected over time and they were in a bit of a mess. I only chose the ones that I use the most, put them in their own folders and they seem to be fine. Glad they are working - I would really miss them!

I guess what I really meant to say is its not very attractive! LOL The fonts are small and I think they could've done a little more to jazz it up. Not the main issue I know when using CS5 - it should be all about the function but for me a little pretty goes a long way! I am however looking forward to checking out the new features and I guess I'll get used to the grey ....
Thread: growng up & moving on: Making the switch from PSP to Photoshop | Forum: Photoshop
Yeah I moved over from PSP too. The main critisism I had was that photoshop is menu based and PSP was icon based. I liked that you could put the tools that you most up on your task menu as an icon - loved that! The other thing I miss is tubes OMG I used them all the time! Apart from that its as everyone else says much the same - as that's from a casual users perspective I'm sure it does a lot more according to the professionals. Once you've found your way around the menus its fine but I found I had to break from PSP all together so that I wouldn't revert back to using that. Glad I persevered but still miss the icons & tubes......

Can I ask what you guys think of the interface - not a big fan myself. I've only just got it so working my way around it. I just think they could've made it more sophisticated - or is it just me!
Thread: What's the trick to getting 3rd party plugins to work? | Forum: Photoshop
I know what you mean about converting! I've been using PSP for years and don't have to think about what I'm doing anymore so switching to PS was hard! I didn't like the interface much - I much prefer the PSP icon style menu (which you can taylor to suit) but what I do like about PS is the layer blending options you have - this is an excellent feature! Now if only I could use the brushes like I use the tubes in PSP - I haven't found a suitable equivalent yet and this is a bit of a downfall in PS. I think you'll find you'll use BOTH program - I know I do ... good luck and persevere, you'll get the hang of it soon enough, think back to how long it took you to get your head around PSP! It took me a couple of years before I truly understood what I was doing and I still don't know it all! Good luck!

This is very interesting and I think I'll do as you say ... rather than choose, use both PSP and CS2. Someone else mentined the warp feature of CS2 and was very impressed by it so I'd be keen to see this.... Thanks for the feedback guys/gals! Much appreciated
