I have used zbrush before and it's quite powerful.I played around with the lighting and bump maps a little bit with daz3d and i think i am getting the hang of it.The shadow samples was still at default so i ramped it all the way up to 64.
And i discovered the Normal map feature which i am more familiar with.I'm still learning quite a lot when it come's to daz3d and i must say that it's the easiest app so far when it comes to posing and animating a character.

Thank you for all the tips and suggestions.I will use gimp and paint shop pro 7.That black and white pic of mine is the best of what i have done thus far.I will practice some more with contrast and lighting.
