Quote - I use Blender for ALL my particle animations and renders. I wish I could zip around the interface and build quality scenes but instead find myself lost, starring, searching, and being just plain bewildered. But what I've been able to do with it when it comes to particles is FUN!
I'm still learning BLender. I have not messed with particals yet

hope that was not an entry
one of the rules are that it cannot be in any other forum or location if I read that right.

Quote - BTW, none of these renders were more than 500 samples. I'm going to save those efforts when I actually have a shader I really want to show off. I wish I could take credit for this one:
clickable image - 3.7 meg
The shader is by this fellow on the BlenderArtists.org forum named Killbee: I've been studying it. It is sheer genius. Indeed, Blender is sheer genius. There simply are no limits even as it stands now, and yet they continue making it better! Next up: SSS!!!
Most of my renders in Cycles are from 200 - 300 samples . however on an intence scene like my fisrt post i had it at 6000 samples. I know of ways to reduce it but was to lazy to setup render layers and all that

Quote - > Quote - Quick question.. when I am setting the OpenCL workgroup Size what exactly is that doing or using?
It's giving a fix to a bug in the nVidia driver. Normally the driver should be able to set a good default for that internal value but it turns out that it does not happen. It's related to memory allocation at the beginning of the task, if I remember well.
Thank you for answering ^_^ .. so I set it to 64 and all works .. to well :D

Quote - > Quote - omg.. i'm hating myself for not keeping an organized runtime and my smart content up to date.. been organizing and making metadata since 6am and still not even 1/4 done.
YEEECCCHHH METADATA!!! I hate it and refuse to touch it. I also run with CMS turned off also. I hope DAZ never makes it not an option, then I'll have to find another app.
I use the smart content more than anything now when creating scenes. I love how when you click on the dress that you automatically get all the presets for it. and when you click on the genisis you get all the content designed for genisis such as poses clothes materials and such. soooo much quicker

Yes! I got it working, thanks. I moved the animation frame advance cursor back to the start, and Merge, then applied a Pose Preset I had of it and now it works.
I also moved the End marker up much closer to the beginning.
But now the next question: Is there a way to limit the range of movement in a previously made by someone else animation? To me her butt bounces a little too high. Is there a way to restrict the range of upward movement there?
click on that frame where the butt animation goes to high and then modify the dials that make the animation.

Quote - I already have hex, blender & zbrush but you know that they will take a long to time in modeling......but i will take your advices friends, thank you soo much for your help and i hope you find what ever your looking for.
and for you DustRider,i took a sneak peak on your gallery....wtf was that?your the best in your profession,i like your work...why don't we all gather our lines and make a cgi movie and an action/violence type....i know that it will take for ever but capcom or activision are not better than us(just their tools),thanks for help.
If you want a simple and quick modeling tool I suggest getting the free Wings3D program. its the least complicated program out there that I know of

Quote - > Quote - Anyone notice the when using a geo-grafted item such as an extra lim that they are not welded when Reality Exports it?
With the geografted DAZ female genitalia I always have to replace a low-rez mesh named something like 'Genesis Female Genitalia_SkinHip_63.ply' with the high-rez 'Genesis_SkinHip_63.ply' also found in Lux's 'Resourses/objects' folder, or I get a visible seam in the render.
So you could try to make a copy of the high-rez mesh, and rename it with the name of the low-rez one if you find such a double of your geografted item in your objects folder, and see what happens. MeshLab is helpful for a quick check of what's what.
Of course it is very odd that two versions of the same bodypart-geometry are used by Reality/Lux, but it's especially annoying that you have to manually replace the ugly low-rez one each and every time you set up a render containing geografted items.
Don't know if it's a DAZ 'feature' or a Reality/Lux bug though.
Cheers!
I think I will stick to my meathod of exporting the object and re importing it into D|S... That way if I mess up lighting or something I dont have to keep replacing the .ply
