Perhaps a program that can help(but not the free version) could be P3dO Explorer. It is mainly intended to view the whole Poser content, easily navigate to the libraries and simple add the things to the Poser scene and much more.
It views .bhv files, .pz2 animations and can save them to a new animated .gif file(no batch conversion, you have to go through a save dialogue as long as the animation plays). It would take a long time doing this for a lot of files. The next step could be taking this gif's into a html Page and viewing it to see a lot of movies at the same time. There are tools that can generate .html pages from pictures, but i can't remember a name.

This happens since I started with Poser 7 but only on Vista(64) I don't know if it occurs on Vista 32.

A standard pcm wav file should work. I had the same problem(Vista64). It seems it's how windows takes it to the sound input(known at smith micro).
This helped at me: I pluged in an external thing like a headphone to the soundcard's line-in and looked in the audio settings to see the record channel is active with the line in connected device. For me it worked too with only a plug and cable without any device at the end of it - very strange. I can't describe the special technical reason here - but it works.
Thread: P7 Runtime not working in P8... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I remember other users had the same problem. It seems Poser 8 doesn't like it anymore copying over older content in the runtime. If it's a bug or not I don't know, but the best choice should be adding an external library only (works without problems for me except special things like scripts).
