Thread: Poser 6 skeleton render | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
P5 renders the hand correctly. Then I tried to load the P5 skeleton in P6 - no luck, the hand is just like the one on the picture. So I guess it's bug in P6....
Thread: Poser Movie ??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I really hope there will be network rendering in Poser 6. Otherwise I was really disappointed before, when I tried to render one scene: 3-4 minutes @ 25FPS 720x576 (PAL DVD) Room with some furniture, 4-5 lights and 2 figures with high quality textures. The rendering was done on Pentium 4, 3GHz with HT disabled (Poser doesnt use it anyway and my tests showed few seconds faster rendering without HT), 1GB DDR 400 (2x512 Dual channel), as of today you can get 20% faster computer (but I doubt if the 3.6GHz P4 is actually 20% faster). The fastest rendering of single frame was 14 minutes!!! 350 min. for one second of your movie or 350 hours for one minute. And youll have to render the whole thing at least twice before the final version ;) Good luck anyway.
Thread: SR4 due out in January/February | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
We'll see what will be "fixed" in SR4 Poser 5 SR3 is choking on P4 (3GHz HT 800MHz FSB) with 2GB DDR 400 (dual channel), XP Pro. Maybe we have to wait for P5 5-8GHz (I think I read somewhere that itll come out Q1 or Q2 :) to get Poser loading in reasonable 5-10 seconds time! Im really disappointed by techsupport@curiouslabs.com reply to my 2 questions: Intel HT or dual cpu and net. rendering support. Hello, These will not be in the update. Kind regards, Steve Rathmann Curious Labs Technical Support Great! Curious Labs will wait till P4 is like 12MHz 286 these days, to add dual cpu support @$@#$%^!
