You can try and use the Export Layer to Files option built into PS located under the File menu. You get a dialog box that will let you choose if you want just the visible layers only, choose the file type/format and where you want to put them. It is a whole lot easier than creating and running an action a bunch of times.

Thread: how can adapt photoshop layer mac version to after effect windows version? | Forum: Photoshop
Ummmmm I thought retrocity said that.
One of the selling points with Adobe After Effects is the tighter Adobe integration meaning you can import Adobe Photoshop CS and Illustrator CS files with layers and other attributes preserved. The only issues between Mac and Windows versions is file extensions.

What I do when I need to rotate my brushes is to rotate the image itself or the layer I am brushing on. I do not know of any way to rotate the actual brush. yoshi

Hello Poppy, look to see if you have your Caps-Lock key down. This is the toggle for the Precise cursor, it will switch between the Standard cursor regardless to your preferences.

Can you post a small thumbnail of the image so I can see if it would be something I could do?

Look at this thread for more information on brushes:

I make brushes all the time. Just isolate the area you want to make a brush out of and go to Edit and Define Brush. Give it a name and you are all set. If you want it opaque you need to use Black.

What I would do is follow whatever steps retrocity said to get them all together in one file and do some math. Say each image is one inch by one inch, I would increase my canvas size to handle about five across. Then you would have six rows down. Select and link the layers of your first row and use the Align feature in the Option bar and align them by TOP. Do the next set of images for the second row, and so on, and so on...
You can also Distribute across to spread them evenly.
Just merge your layers after you're done.

I feel the same way! My call to Adobe was curt in their response. They said that their EULA clearly states: ...You agree that by using an upgrade or update you voluntarily terminate your right to use any previous versions of the Software... and MUST remove it from your system! I guess they are making sure now!!
sux don't it!

Grimtwist, I think it might be a blend mode choice. If you choose the blend mode Behind from the Option bar like Dreamer101 mentioned this may give you the effect you are looking for. I use this when working on the same layer with a different color.

Thank you, it beats listening to the droneing of the prof.
I look forward to seeing your revisions.
I would also like to add, you may want to change the blend mode of your added layer to overlay or something like that. You can also add a mask with a gradient to blend out the sharpness of the caustic surface, like the way the detail in the horizon is less focused.
