Anyone can tell me how do I make the thumbnails from my custom works look like the ones that came with Poser (without the square behind the figure.

You need to be running in 32bit rather than 24bit color mode to get rid of the square and make the .rsr look like the default ones. There is also a utility, I believe in FreeStuff last November, called "RSRConv.zip" by PhilFoss that would convert Photoshop PICT files to Poser's .RSR thumbnails so you could paint your own.

Anyone know how to do this with a Mac? Love to hear.

The most general answer (this came around again recently) is to Paste to the Background, then move the character out of the view (not make it invisible) and when you save save you can make it whatever you want (full rendered, etc.)
