Subject: doric, ionic, and corinthian greek columns

a user at the amapi yahoo group asked for these models.. coincidentally, I had just read a note at the rhino site that said it'd taken a couple weeks to make the corinthian. So I was already curious to see how long it would take in amapi (since these are non-organic shapes). total modeling time for all three models ~3.5 hours it actually took longer to render this image in bryce than it took to make the models. If you'd like a decent challenge with your modeling program..heres one. The helix at the top of the models are interesting to figure out how to do.. and the flutes that run up the sides of the columns are also fun to make. so try to make any of the column as quickly as you can. The doric are in the background Ionic are in the center corinthian are in the foreground. feel free to use a little artistic license on your model should you try this. These would add a lot to a nice architectural render. BT

jeez nice great detail just shows its not the app but the artist! good work !
