Subject: Nice free mesh site

I was searching for a model on my lunch break when I ran across the Fantastic Arts free model site. There's not a lot here but the most of the stuff looks to be pretty good and some interesting and different models. Mostly 3DS and DXF, most without textures. I was intrigued by the "escherillusion" model and did a real quickie Bryce scene as shown above. There's also some nice image textures in the Texture section (nice ones of Earth). Best - Dan

Somebody modelled that! Just looking at those things makes me dizzy, although I love them. I couldn't imagine modelling it. Thanks for the link, good free meshes are always a good thing. Lin

You know they have a lot of good things, but as I was looking I saw this under Creatures...this name refers to the picture Neanderthal man, and it looks exactly like Daz's Big Foot....please someone go look and see if I am seeing things....Sharen

Since "Neanderthal Man" is (most likely) "Big Foot" from Daz, it was better to let Daz handle it. I contacted them about it, gave them the link. Fantastic Arts lets users submit meshes, so it's fairly difficult to check ownership on everything, even though they are a smaller site. One of the members here had a situation with Turbo Squid selling I believe, five of his Freestuff meshes at $80 a pop. Turbo Squid just had no idea. It's up to everyone. Hi the conversion I did for poser of the plesiosaur was of the model from that site I asked for the name of the maker but I have never had any reply anyone any ideas? Dave
