I was just working with the bow set I downloaded I while ago. Could you tell em if she is holding the bow right? IS the arrow in the right place? I was thinking of making a scene where she is hunting for "blank" in a forest, but I have no idea how to create a forest. I tried Bryce 5.0 but i have no idea how to import my "bowgirl" into Bryce without her being completely screwed up. Oh and obviously this is not what she will be wearing.

Here are a couple of tutorials about bringing Poser models to Bryce:

okay the hightlighted area is the hand grip on the bow.

her fingers cannot be over the arrow like her index finger is.

if the flights ( feathers ) have one side without, that one side will have to be where the arrow will slide past the bow.

and her arm should be straighter, the bowstring will smack into her forearm where it is.

so what you are saying is that I should put the index finger under the arrow. I understand that. Thanx for the advice

and the hand where the bow is dark grey, not overlapping on the green. in school thay actually taught us how to use these simple fiberglass bows like the one you have in the image.

Just like to add that unless she has just loosed the arrow her left index and middle fingers should be bent at the second knuckle in order to have been able to draw the string back. ;)

CocaColafreek posted Mon, 23 December 2002 at 6:55 PM

#1 her hand should be on the little black part holding it, like a fist. #2 the arrow should be resting in between the index and middle finger. the only three fingers to be touching the arrow should be the index, middle, and ring finger. the tips of all the fingers should curve over the string. i hope you get it. any questions just instant message me~!(sorry bout the crappy picture, the colors got all screwed up)

her left wrist should tilt a little out, and down, or she will get smacked. the fingers on the right hand, should be bent as uniformly as possible at the joint nearest the hand. her left thumb is way in trouble...bring it down. and, BEND THE LEFT ELBOW OUT...she's gonna get hurt. right arm...is actually in line with her cheek...but, it needs to go STRAIGHT back.... gimme that bow.... geekess that i am...archery was actually something i LOVED...golf, now...that's another story.

everyone thnx for the help ill try to get the hands fixed today or if im not busy, ill do it tomorrow

all four fingers should be on the bow grip, and the arrow should be resting on the top of the bow grip... you would NEVER release the arrow allowing to past thru the first fingers... maybe one time, but you would not do it again!

I've always shot with the arrow on the opposite side that you have it on. Marque

CocaColafreek posted Mon, 23 December 2002 at 7:45 PM

yeah you should have the arrow on the opposite side of your head!

She's a lefty, I think. I always used three fingers to draw the bowstring back.
