First, happy holidays to all. May everyone's 2003 bring peace, health, happiness, and a bug-free copy of DAZ Studio. Re the AOY situation: If I'm reading her posts right, tammymc has apoligized for having the poll posted in the first place, but not for yanking it, which is nice but amounts to nothing new from the admins. And, she hasn't offered a solution--how will the AOY be selected by the admin staff without the appearance, one way or the other, that the "fix" was in? It's a simple question, one which the management has now had several days to address. Why aren't they addressing it?

Happy Holidays to you too Mosca! As for the poll while I don't like they way it was handled anymore than you do I honestly have to wonder if we really could have expected anything else. I mean, they are not gonna give it back to us and while that is unfortunate we just have to hope that the orginal poll and the unofficial popular vote will have some influence on their decision...let's hope so...:) MelissaMosca posted Tue, 24 December 2002 at 3:24 PM
Any decision they make is discredited, in my view. They can do as they like, but I won't be supporting the site (i.e., spending money in the MP) as long as they think it's ok to discriminate in this way.

well I guess...my actual issue was that the power to make that decision was taken away, period...I'm going to try to hope that it was just a mistake, which doesn't really make me feel better because that would only mean they never intended for us to have that right in the first place but it's better than thinking it was for some ulterior motive...anyway, even if I don't like it I will still support the COMMUNITY, I mean I have alot of friends who try to earn extra cash here and I even once had a store as well...really the people who will be hurt by me not contributing will be my friends since the site will continue to run with or without my help...but I understand how you feel.

And I appreciate your POV, too. But if the MP is the tail that wags the art dog around here (and it is), then that's the place to apply pressure. The PTB will likely be much more responsive to the merchants' concerns than they are to the membership at large. Not that I'm suggesting others should boycott, too--I'm not. That would likely be viewed as a violation of the TOS.

understood, and a good idea...:)
