A customer is having a problem with my dreamer wings xpansion pack that i am unable to duplicate. basically any of the MATs she uses that have transparency aren't rendering correctly; the part that should be transparent is completely invisible rather than rendered with a trans map. i sent her an updated zip, which works perfectly on my system, and she continues to have the exact same issue. never heard any complaints before and i see tons of renders using the trans maps in the galleries so i can only assume it usually works. here is a picture: any idea why this might be happening?

Does she get a dotted outline of the object before rendering? Your not giving us much info to go on here.

heyas; the trans maps were applied, right? that would be a crucial step ;) what version of poser? p5's firefly may be doing something odd... oh, and make sure the p4 (and 3) option to use texture maps is ON, not off. or else it won't use the trans maps. that's all i can think of off the top of my head.

Get her to do a search of her textures folder looking for all files with the same name as the transmap. The MAT pose could be picking up a different file with the same name and then applying the wrong transmap.

yes, these are good points. i sent her a link to this forum she is going to post some screen shots i think. over 200 people have the expansion wings pack so far, and i've never heard anyone else with this problem, so im thinking it must be in the configuration or something.
