Hi All. I got V3- a terrific model. I would like to use my V2 textures-with the V3 Cr2. Uvmapper for Mac does not recognize the new UVS format. But the MUCH appreciated MartinC made a UVSdecoder5 utility. So I opened the Mac UVS file from Daz- opened blMilWom_V3.obj and got a new file in the Daz People Geometries directory called blMilWom_V3_V2UVs.obj Great! Then opened a copy of the Cr2 in Word2001 Mac, replaced the two calls for blMilWom_V3 with the new obj name. When I saved as text it appended the Word filetype. I opened ResEdit- changed the filetype to Cr2T and creator to PZ3A. I t became an iconless generic file-not recognized by Poser- OR MacConvertor. I then tried the same replacement on a fresh copy in Texedit_plus which changed the format. Saved as Simple text-with a filetype of PZ3A. Poser did not "see" the cr2. THEN (In texedit) I opened the previous copy that I had replaced the obj name first in Word2001. The format appeared as expected-and I resaved it as Simple text-filetype PZ3A. MacConverter recognized it and changed the Icon to the familiar one-then Poser "saw" the Cr2. When I opened it did not find the converted Obj-although I had run it through MacConverter. Anyone made this work on a Mac yet?? Any help is appreciated!!!! Eric

Yes, it works on my Mac. Did you put the obj-file in the right folder, so that the cr2 finds it? If you try to import the obj, via "File:Import:Wavefront obj" does Poser "see" it? I have OSX and do my cr2-editing in BBEdit Lite. It seems to handle the Poser-files well, and often I don't have to use Maconverter, as the filetype stays the same.

Hi Marianne Thanks for your response and I wish it was that easy! The obj is in the correct folder. When I ran it through MacConverter it gave it a PC obj icon-which is the same as the blMilWom_V3.obj that I used in conjunction with the UVS file from Daz. The filepath is correct also. In the Cr2 two instances of the previous geometry name was changed. It seems that I had luck with Word98 before. I will try again with that older version. Maybe I should test changing the filepath and Obj location on a another cr2 to see if it is an issue with the changed Cr2 OR the UVS converted obj.... Thanks again- Eric I could use the V3 to V2 cr2-but I want to keep the v3 geometry! I will have to search for BBEdit Lite- I seem to remember a free version somewhere....

Hi Marianne. Well- I was paying too much attention to creator typing and text formatting. The problem-after that was fixed was a dash instead of an underscore in the Obj file name. Whoops! It works now- although I dont seem able to get either V2 or V3 eye textures to work yet. And the eyebrows-although the V2 eyelash trans work, And of course there are more places to apply textures such as scalp, hip, forearm etc-but they take the V2 body textures just fine! Thanks again-! Eric
