When poser generates an avi file, I cant import it into 'Illusion' because the properties report it is an 'unknown format'. Media Player plays it back ok, but for some reason i cant import it for editing. I have tried different codecs, and everything works out alright with Bryce and Illusion avi's. Any suggestions??? By the way, you have GOT to get Illusion. It will change the way you think. Thanks

Illusion is 2d partical generation program that thinks it's 3d. if you have open GL which i am sure u have, it renders fantastic special effects over avi files in real time. Pyrotechnics, water, smoke, dustsmoke effects, etc. And they look stunning. Its price is fantastic too. Go to www.coolfun.com to download the demo and sample mpegs. Oh, by the way, i do not work for them either!! i am just a very happy customer.

Just an idea. If you have PSP6 you can import the avi into ANimation Shop, and then export it back out. Maybe that would fix it for Illusion ? Thanks for the info on Illusion. Will have to check it out!

In the end I exported Poser animations as Tiff frames and loaded them into Premier. Then I just saved them out as an AVI. It does the job nicely. Although I would rather it worked ok from the off. Keep sugeesting though!!
