Heres one maybe some do or dont know - Make a terrain go into the edit menu (hit the e) Hold down the ctrl & Alt buttons and click on the picture button in the elevation tab: Hold down keys until the DTE pops up

also, in the terrain editor if you press & hold the Ctrl button and click the Picture button you get the picture editor

this tip makes for some cool possibilitys
