I just got poser 5 but havent installed it yet. Can I keep poser 4 intact and still install poser5?????? Thanks

Yes. As a matter of fact you can even switch to your Poser 4 runtime folder from Poser 5 also. 8 ) Tom

I am kinda scared to install....... I dont know what the upgrade will do, if it is better or just a headache.... I dont want to screw up my poser 4 ... Know what I mean?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was reluctant too...lol Actually Poser 5 will not upgrade you Pser 4 but rather intall a new instace of Poser(version 5). I installed it in the following order: 1)Install Poser 5 2) Reboot(do NOT launch the program) 3) intall the figure updater(available at Curious Labs website) 4) Reboot(still DO NOT launch the application) 5)Install the SR2 patch(available at curious Labs website) 6)Reboot 7) Launch Poser 5 and enter serial number. Don't worry about it over writing Poser 4 stuff. It will intall to an entirely new directory. good luck Tom

thanks... ok... here goes... do I need to install all my stuff to the new poser 5?.. dum question I know
Hawkfyr posted Sat, 28 December 2002 at 11:21 PM
Do you mean all of the stuff that is currently in your Poser 4 runtime? If that is what you mean, than the answer is no. Just load your P 4 runtime from with-in Poser 5 and you'll be able to use both your P4 runtime and your P5 runtime. Not a dumb question at all. 8 ) Good luck Tom

I did the same sequence and mine installed perfectly. i have my Poser4 on the d drive and Poser 5 on the c dirve. I linked my Runtime Poser 4 folder and it operates really well.
