I have done this a few times before . And there are many ways to get results. Personaly I prefer to use whats already in the photo. So i will mask out the parts i want to change put them on a new layer then use the air brush overlay spray to get the color i want or you can try the variations option then play with contrast or hue saturations . When you put it all back togeather you can use the clone tool to adjust stuff . Skin color is a real B&*&ch to get right but there are pallates you can get that will help you . Shading is a real bear as well till you get the hang of it. I dont mean to imply what you did was wrong. Its always good to experiment and find your own way to do things.

I can't quite tell if you've tried this or not, but if you open up another document in the same window of a person in color, you can use the eyedropper to take that person's skin tone and use it in the B&W photo. I like to extract the part I want to colorize in a new layer and create yet another layer. CTRL+Click the layer with the extracted part to get the marquee around the area and fill it with the skin color. Now, you can get rid of the extracet layer and decrease the opacity of the fill layer or set it to "soft light". I hope ya'll understand. I'm new to the board and I'll probably be hanging around here as well as in the Bryce forum. I'll hopefully get into the Poser board once I get Poser 5 to work!
