(for install Vicky 2 on my computer) it's the english version and it create a "library" with the files (hand, poses, character). On the french version of Poser4 it's "bibliotheque" and not "library". No problem, I take the files and rename on my french files (Daz people "character" on Daz people "personnage" etc.) All right, that's works Vicky appear on my "bibliotheque", I working and... bug ! message : - 50 error... What's going on ? Daz no reply to my requests (thanks guys) and that's why I post my message here. I have buy the REAL version of Poser4 and that's works fine for all the characters but not for DAZ. Can you help me ? Where i can upload a french version of Vicky (the exe.). Thanx for your help, i'm sicked.

Hm, I have a German version of P4. "Runtime" is "Runtime" "Libraries" are "Libraries" Only at the stage of the sub-folders to Libraries (characters, props, ect.) are German folder-names. So I'd suggest, you copy the files into a folder structure, like that: - Runtime (use English folder name) -- Libraries (use English folder-name) --- personnage (= files from "characters") --- etc. Maybe you should run "Correct reference" over your runtime. This program is designed to match folder references inside the cr2-files. BTW, your problem with the English filenames and foldernames brought me to buy an English version of Poser 5. Maybe, Poser can successfully work with regionalized folders, but most of the addons you buy from the internet, don't worry about French or German (or anything else) names. Hope I could help you. Check especially where the obj file is located. If you moved it or renamed the folder where it was stored that could be the cause of your problem.

voila la ronse que j'ai re pour la meme question Thanks for your email, you did the right thing in copying the files to the bibliothues folder. Now run the installer once more to put the files in the Libraries Folder again. (this is the easiest way to do it). In the end it should look like this bibliothues Folder Contents of Character Folder* Contents Pose Folder* (I do not know what the Character and Pose folders are called in French. If you could tell me I would appreciate it very much) Libraries Folder !Daz Folder and everything inside it Pose Folder and everything inside it The Files that you copied into the bibliothues folder are very small, so this should not take up too much extra room on your computer.

Thanks for your help ! *Will : lol, you are right ! I'm on the dark side of the Rhine :o)) *for Yve, thanks I'll try it anyway (en francais ca donne : merci c'est super cool de ta part. Thanks all and happy new year ! Oli

It doesnt matter which subfolders the library files go in, as long as the root folders match your version of Poser (camera, character, face, etc, for the English version). The important thing is that the location of the object file blMilWom.obj, matches the two reference lines in the cr2. The cr2 contains TWO lines that reference the obj file, these line must EXACTLY match the location of the obj file in your file structure, this is case sensitive. In the English version (is there any other?) of Victoria 2 these lines will read: figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:ZygotePeople:blMilWom.obj It technically it doses not matter if you change the reference lines in the cr2 to match your file structure, or change the location of the obj to match the reference lines, but for compatibility with other cr2s that may try to reference the blMilWom.obj its better that you match the file location to the reference lines.

Thanks Lesbentley, but... kiew, it's very hard ! Anyway, for the "blmilwom.obj", i can't see this file. I have on the geometries (on the french files, why ? I don't know...): blVickiP4.obj and blVickyp4.rsr. Damn, my head killing me... Thanx for your reply. Oli

Ajax posted Thu, 02 January 2003 at 3:08 PM

Oli, you should have the file blMilWom.obj under RuntimeGeometriesZygotePeople as Les says. blVickiP4.obj is for P4 Vicky and goes in a different folder (RuntimeGeometriesDAZPeople I think)

Yes it's true : on the geometries : blMilWom.obj. Okay, I copy (not cut) the files (all the files on the DAZ's librairies) on my french "bibliotheque". May be it's not cool to cut 'n paste the files...

Ajax posted Thu, 02 January 2003 at 6:42 PM

OK, here's my next suggestion. Where you found the blMilWom.obj look for a file called blMilWom.rsr. If you find blMilWom.rsr then delete it and try using the figure in Poser again.

Ohmygod! Olitoth, you're not on the dark side!!! You're only on the left side of the rhine ;-) Willy

That's works fine now ! Thanks all ! I have a message from Daz and there are sorry for the delay responding (vacations... vacations... ;) For the futur french users, I post my reply to Daz (thanx for yve_Sab for the link to curiousblab) : 1) I have uploaded the french Updaters on http://www.curiouslabs.com/ for Poser 4. 2) Important ! For the french users, your exe. create a "librairies" on the runtime. In the french version, it's "Bibliotheques" and not "librairies". I have "copy 'n past" the files : "hands" "poses" and "caractere". *The files on "Hands" go to : "runtime/biblioteques/mains (mains = hands). *The files on "poses" go to : "runtime/biblioteques/poses *The files on "caracteres" go to : "runtime/bilioteques/personnages. For the file "geometries" it's ok because on french "geormetries" = "geometries" :o) (runtime/geometries/ZygotePeople : blMilWom.obj, blMilWom.rsr). Have a nice day and happy new year ! Olivier.

Hello all I'm surprise you talk about victoria 2 cause with my french poser4 version i have any problemes. But with Victoria 3 ouch a lot lot problems. I contact Daz for that and i wait again a correct respons. I imagine germany poser have similar problem and other contry they dont have an englisg version of poser. The real problem it's i buy all face morph and body morph for victoria5 and all line in cr2 search the files in fordels don't exist in french version. Try to change folder in english vetrsion is not ok. There is alot lines to change more than 5000 and really if i must make the work of daz i said NO! So perhaps i must becoming american and buy only american product, but not reallt thanks :) Hope there is soon a real solution to this problem, and hope in the futur, the other products are no similar, or by by Daz. Laurent ps: happy new year form France (the little contry of cheese ;))

olitoth posted Tue, 07 January 2003 at 10:27 AM

dreampaint posted Tue, 07 January 2003 at 10:52 AM

Laurent

olitoth posted Tue, 07 January 2003 at 11:15 AM

dreampaint posted Tue, 07 January 2003 at 11:49 AM

Laurent

olitoth posted Tue, 07 January 2003 at 12:13 PM
