Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

I had one of those, once. Takes some practice before you can use it without killing yourself.

OK guys, I'll make these my contribution to the Renderosity newsletter then. I'm not sure how far down the list I am so I don't know which week they'll be out. Sometimes Clint needs a substitute in a hurry when something falls through so I might put myself on standby. LD, Yep I agree they're hard to manage. I've been very careful with these ones to make sure the chain is too short for the ball to hit you on the fingers. A beginner would have to replace that wooden shaft fairly often though. However, they have that great advantage of being able to get around shields and the speed the ball picks up as the chain shortens itself wraping around the shield edge gives the blow that nice little bit of extra punch. Still, back when I used to do this stuff I would have preferred a well balanced medium weight sword any day, just because I like the control. I don't really have the wrist and finger strength for unbalanced weapons. My hands have always been the weak part of my body. igohigh, Electric spikey balls, eh? Hmmm... I'll have to think about that. Could be fun if I can make them look right.

heyas; you know, i have no idea what a double-flanged flail looks like. it just sounds cool. :)
Ajax posted Fri, 03 January 2003 at 6:55 PM
Well a flail is just two sticks with a short bit of chain between them so the second one can swing around. I don't know where even one flange would go, let alone two.
