Ya know, if V3 can morph into male characters, why should we even have a mike 3? maybe the "4" version will be just one generic mesh that can become either male or female. This would make textures soooooooo versitile. (mind you...I do not have V3 yet...so this is just a thought from a guy with nothing else on his mind tonight)

V3 is a nice change from Mike, but she's definitly NOT a really male character. Better than Don and the Dork, but as a man, not really as good as Mike 2. V3 needs a bit of tweeking to get it to look more masculine. The muscle controls don't work the way they should for a man. Close, but no cigar (pun intended). I like V3 because of the variation from Mike, and for all the morphs. However, Mike is still the model of choice for a really masculine man. I think V3 bodes very well for M3. If he has the same technology and mapping capabilities, he's going to be magnificent. There is a project somewhere to create a high poly single character on the scale of Mike and Vicky. I beleve it's a volunteer project (like Unix), where a number of people are working on the mesh design and morphs. I've lost the link to it though. Anyone know of it?

Side note: Anton just announced new Male injection morphs for V3 in the Product Showcase forum. They look pretty neat.

Is there going to actually be a Mike version 3? If there is going to be one does anyone know when? V3 as a man foes not appeal to me at all.

The current estimate for M3 is sometime in the next few months according to reliable sources. They have a team working on him now.

I agree with Mike being the best male figure. In the past, I've worked on Vicki to get her a little more male looking just to provide a contrast to Mike (the same way that Steph is a contrast to Vicki). I for one will be greatly excited to see what M3 looks like!
