After reading the posting about the displacement map feature in UVMapper Pro (knew it was there but never used it!). I thought I'd give it a go and see what would happen in trying to make morphs that arent as easy to do using the conventional method. Here's my first test shot. Comments? Dave

Klingon or Romulan?

Romulan. Used a texture I have up in the marketplace. Didnt really bother with tweaking the eyebrows just yet. Dave

Next Generation era Romulans to be precise. To save money and make-up application time, Michael Westmore constructed one of his infernal forehead pieces that already held the upswept eyebrows. Though I understand that in the latest movie (that I haven't seen yet) The Romulans' sister planet Remus shelters a bizarre offshoot looking like nosferatu from German myth. Frankly, I miss the subtle elegance of the original Romulans, beings that could be mistaken for Vulcans. Westmore's look like they're illegitimate offspring between Romulans and (movie era) Klingons. Back to the subject, that's a dang clever use of the displacement tool in UV Pro! Sncerely, Bill

Yeah the ears are standard issue Mike2 morph. The forehead is the displacement map morph. I sort of like the STNG era Romulans. Even some of the vulcans are true to what we classify as Vulcans. Some "vulcans" that we've seen dont even have the upswept eyebrows and sometimes not even the ears are pointed. Go figure! Dave
